This oil was bought as an addition to our healthy lifestyle. We are advocates of natural health, healing and nutrition and all things related and personally love to explore natural remedies in order to improve our personal life and find ways in which to replace the use of commercial products, not only because of the toxins in them but also to encourage the individual that natural is the best way to go, considering the current climate of excessive additives and chemicals. We also believe that we have the key to our own healing without spending tons of money on pre made commercial products. We discovered this extra ingredient that would boost our oil pulling mix and hand made toothpaste (which we have personally been using for many years) and could be used to improve oral health and hygiene. This is it, it is a very high brand of oil and very potent and pure. There was no hesitation in buying it after reading the customer reviews and it has been a fantastic choice, as the quality of the oil is so good and the oil itself is excellent for an amazing boost to oral health and health in general. This oil has been used by our family, friends and acquaintances and has proven beneficial time and time again. It has been used by friends who made numerous visits to the dentist where antibiotics were prescribed each time for a tooth abscess which made no impact at all. After using this oil, the abscess pretty much reduced itself by 70% within the first 24 hours and by the end of three days had almost disappeared. After reading all the positive reviews I ordered a bottle of this, and was as pleased as everyone else. I think this is the best quality wild Greek oregano oil that can be obtained online. And because it's wild (in hopefully as clean an environment as one can expect these days), it could also be considered organic - very important to those of us who really care about limiting our toxin exposure as much as we can. It was also fantastic value for money - coming in considerably cheaper than the equivalent 'super strength wild mediterranean oregano oil' of a branded name. I also received the free packet of dried oregano with my bottle that many others have; it smells lovely and potent and I'm looking forward to using it in my cooking. It is incredible just how much oregano goes into making the oil in one of these bottles, and this results in an amazingly high strength oil. I'm really impressed with the oil, its price and the very customer centred focus of Zane Hellas who also provide clear instructions to go with the oil. I'm using it mainly in sinus rinses. Having had perennial rhinitis for 23 years (like having a cold every day!), and the associated sinus issues, I have tried many alternatives over the years (in conjunction with addressing other serious health issues). Having used oregano oil in the past as part of a whole anti fungal regime, I thought I'd try it again, but this time in sinus rinses to try and get to the root of any fungal infection in my sinuses. It has slightly improved symptoms, but unfortunately not cured it! However, regular sinus rinses (just using 1-2 drops in the rinse because of the high strength) completely minimised the symptoms of a recent cold on top of the normal rhinitis, and the cold was gone within 1.5 days, just leaving me with my normal symptoms. If there's anyone out there reading this who has had long standing perennial rhinitis like myself and has managed to cure it, I'd really appreciate a comment on how you achieved this. Thank you!

The quality of this Greek wild oregano oil from Zane Hellas Med is excellent. Good luck if you find a better product or purchase price online. My oregano oil arrived quickly from Greece, with an excellent p&p price. It contained a certificate of quality, with info regarding its high carvacrol levels (this relates to its antibiotic properties) which provide defence against bacteria, fungus, viruses and parasites. Also enclosed are instructions about the benefits/usage of oregano oil. It is very potent stuff - you only need a drop in water/ or mix with olive oil if you purchase the undiluted oregano oil. Zane Hellas also sell oregano oil premixed with Greek olive oil, in various clearly marked ratios on each bottle to suit individual need, at great value for money when you compare it with similar products online (some of which are ok, but incredibly over priced e.g. North American Herb & Spice P73 / 13.5 ml bottle). Also, unlike Zane Hellas, most sellers don't sell the undiluted oil/ and don't give the buyer info relating to the ratio of oregano oil and olive oil in their product. I have bought many different brands of oregano oil over the past few years for my asthmatic condition/frequent infection rate, and this brand is first class. It is safe to use, even for children, with none of the negative side effects compared to prescription drugs. You can also put a few drops of oregano oil mixed with olive oil in empty gel caps (I do this for my teenager). For infection or to reduce a fever, rub some oregano oil mixed with olive oil on the soles of the feet (especially good for children or anyone who may not like the taste of oregano oil). I would fully recommend this product for its health benefits, particularly if you have any type of chronic health condition. It contains vitamins A,C, E, B6, K, as well as iron, magnesium, calcium and potassium, it contains rosmarinic acid, a powerful antioxidant and it's essential oils are anti inflammatory and anti microbial. It plays a crucial role in natural health healing; just google " Research findings/benefits of Wild Oregano Oil", there's lots of info available. For example, one UK lab test (2001) found it was effective against 25 different bacteria. There is anecdotal evidence that it is helpful for psoriasis and eczema. Wild oregano is excellent for allergies and digestion, it helps fight infection (by using natural antibiotics like oregano oil, it may help in reducing antibiotic resistance). It has been shown to help asthma, sinus problems, weight loss, gastrointestinal problems, cold sores, nail fungus, candida, dandruff, and acne (for acne, it can taken internally and externally, but always dilute well with water rather than e.g. olive oil if using on face), and apply with a cotton tip to required area. As oregano oil has a burning sensation, if applying topically to other areas of body, always mix with olive oil. Research has also indicated that it is a natural pain killer (thus good for arthritis, backache, menstrual cramps, toothache etc). I carry this product with me everywhere, and it has helped reduce the severity/amount of infections I've had. If you have a sore throat, gargle some of this oregano oil with warm salty water, and you will see immediate, positive results. This is an excellent product, myself and my family have been using it for years. We mainly use it at the first sign of a cold or a sore throat. Taking it straight away reduces your symptoms and aids recovery. I definitely recommend it.

So firstly, a great package arriving with info on usage and components, and a nice free gift of dried oregano to demonstrate the concentration. Product looks pure, smells good. On to the important stuff; I diluted 5 drops in a teaspoon of olive oil and this then in a glass of warm water. In this way I found it didn't burn, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the taste. Tried it once just in water without olive oil dilution first, and THAT burned too much for comfort. I've had the oil dilution 'tea' with a squeeze of lemon, and also mixed in with diatomaceous earth (to break up candida biofilm) and found all of that palatable, even enjoyable. The diatomaceous earth I found helped keep the oil well mixed in the water as a suspension, so oregano oil might work well in thick smoothies. By turn, the oil mix made the D. earth (and bentonite clay) drink more palatable as less dry and powdery tasting. I wouldn't do the same with coconut oil as, in my experience, coconut oil settles on top of drinks and that might burn- but if you make coconut oil tablets, that would work! I've also been using it at 8 drops per TBSP for mouth and other sensitive areas, and found that concentration tingly but not burning I've been putting neat it on a hand wart and it doesn't burn Gonna try steam inhalation next- will comment in replies how that goes! I also managed to get it in my eye (yes I am a genius) and it stung but did no harm, so don't be scared off by the burning thing! My situation too complex to feedback on efficacy- if I can in future I'll comment here. My advice is that if you need something as simple as possible to use or want to use in painful areas, or hate strong flavours, then consider going for their pre-diluted product. I'm delighted with this one myself. Recycled paper and packaging is a nice plus.

It's fantastic oil, no doubt it the best quality. My experience: 2 drops in water - wow!!! That's so hot, I drunk it and all my mouth and throat felt burning unpleasantly and smell is so so strong.. Tried with oil and the same, I thought I have bad reaction and got scared that my air ways will close as it felt burning and swelling in the mouth.. Then I left it in the capboard closed and smell was so strong, I put in two bags and still smell was very strong. In the end I left in the shed.. Didn't want to give up and tried again but this time with capsules.. 2 drops in one capsule and it was easy to take and I thought I found solution to treat my candida as it was ruin my relationship because I start having thrush all the time, don't know why. Took this oregano oil for 6 days and one morning I woke up and felt very weird and dizzy and faint kind off.. I am Clinical Nutritionist and Fitness Coach, I knew what I was doing.. I know how powerful is Oregano to Candida.. That morning my blood pressure dropped from my normal 124/ 68 to 92/51 I felt really bad and my nose start bleed, my Oxigen level from normal 98% dropped to 82% = that's could be very dangerous... I don't blame this brand or oil, this brand is good and high quality but it definitely didn't agree with me for some reason. I will try something else but not Oregano oil or capsules.. Maybe it's coincidence but I gave it a go and it was obviously... When I stopped taking, I felt better next day but still very dizzy... On third day I was back to normal me with all healthy readings...

Update: I contacted the supplier Zane Hellas who promptly refunded my purchase price with excellent customer service. I will try the product again now knowing the supplier supports their warranty on it. Have been purchasing this product for over 15 years from other suppliers. First time purchase on Amazon of this and it is not the same product as I have previously used. It is very weak, barely any actual active oregano present and almost no taste from it. the original product was so powerful that it had to be diluted at least 20:1 in a carrier oil to be tolerable. this product can be applied straight to the skin or mouth with virtually no sensation, taste or smell. Cannot recommend this now to anyone.
