When you have read and understood the instructions, and you understand what you are measuring - which is an important point, then this device is very good. The fact that it is reusable without having to buy test strips or similar, is great as it means you can test every 10 minutes throughout the day if you wish, and it doesn't cost any extra.Just remember that your acetone results will not always correlate with your B-HOB,***This is not a fault***.

I'm really disappointed so far. I'm on my second device at the moment after replacing the first as it literally never moved from the blue light and registered nothing within the software, ever. Sadly the second is no better. This one gets stuck calibrating and again registers nothing. I refuse to believe that i am not in any form of nutritional ketosis. I've been fully keto for a couple of weeks. My macros are between 1-5% carbs per day and nearly always under 10-15g. Ketone levels with urinalysis show a consistent light-medium pink. Even if the software had given a result of 1 or 2, at least you would know it is registering something but nothing for both is just ridiculous. I had hoped this product would be an investment but it's nothing more than a disappointment. I have just ordered some kit to do some blood monitoring instead. Whilst this might be a costly approach long term it is at least accurate.I'm genuinely gutted about this and will be returning the replacement too. An expensive lesson learnt.

This is a good product and works well if you observe the instructions regarding how to use it. You only ger accurate ketone readings if you blow the last of your breath into it slowly, expelling as much air in your lungs as you can before panic sets in. It takes quite a few days of practice to perfect the breath technique required. I haven't yet been able to link what I eat to low or high ketone readings. The software supplied is easy to use once you have set up a personal profile.

I have had this device for 2-3 months and I am waiting to see if the company is going to update the software to get it working with Iphone X and there has been no updates and the return window has closed. It feels like an experimental device, the app is quite below par, looks like a high school science project app. It doesn’t connect to the bluetooth based device. You blow into the device and it keeps blinking, why is it blinking, it’s unclear. I don’t think it’s accurate at all. It’s a gimmick and no science based. The product does not induce confidence in the user. Sad such a waste of money! If they take it back I would be happy.

I bought this on the recommendation of my nutritionist so I can send them weekly measurements of my ketones. *It does work* But it's a pain, especially for the money you're paying. To get it 'ready' you have to plug it into your computer via USB. It takes anywhere from 10 minutes to 25 minutes to warm up. That's a long time to spend on a single measurement. I run it alongside their ketonix app on my computer. The app is buggy. Once I plugged it in and an an hour passed and it still wasn't showing ready. From then on I restart ketonix over and over, unplug and plug the device back in until I see the numbers moving showing its warming up. Because the alternative is pricking my finger, I went with this one. But if there was anything better on the market, I would have given this 2 stars, got my money back and gone elsewhere. Come on free market, do your thing and someone release a better ketone measuring device.

This is a brilliant device and is really important if you want to get into and stay in nutritional ketosis. I had some connection problems and the device had to be replaced ( no problem).

A quality product which has been a real eye-opener to use. I bought this having become so keto-adapted that the ketostix weren't displaying results (i.e. no waste Ketones were showing in my system)... but also because I wanted to see how certain foods affected my level of ketosis (and accurately). The added battery to use on the run is handy.I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this to anyone serious about the ketogenic diet, losing body fat and general fitness.I assume these devices will become incredibly popular when/if they have a good marketing campaign or the word of mouth spreads even further, so for now, it's a relatively unknown super tool!

Just doesn’t work. Having struggled with this device for six weeks I’ve just given up; never gives an accurate reading; benchmarked against blood testing and keto sticks to check..... sometimes this gave three wildly different results within minutes, with exactly the same ‘blowing technique’. Read every instruction book and online guide to try to get a proper results; reconfigured it ad naseam to try to get an accurate reading. A waste of time and money; would return if I could.
