aerolatte Milk Frother with Storage Tube, Black

I'm currently having amazing success following an ultra-low carb hugh fat (ketogenic) diet. My mornings start with a delicious bulletproof tea - good cup of tea with a tablespoon of PVL Essentials 100 Percent Pure MCT Oil 1 Litre and a tablespoon of Biona Organic Coconut Cuisine 800 g . Putting the oils directly into hot liquid just leaves a film of grease on top, so you need to blend it until it emulsifies and becomes creamy ( the reason I drink bulletproof tea and not coffee is that I drink black coffee and adding the oils makes it taste too much like a latte for my liking!). I usually use a magic bullet blender but this has its drawbacks. Firstly, you really aren't supposed to put hot liquid in a sealed blender as this can make the hot liquid "explode" all over you when you open it. Secondly, you need to clean out the oily bullet mug as well as the separate blade attachment -and I am clumsy enough to keep cutting myself on the blade. I saw a top tip that an Aerolatte could be used to do the same job and required a lot less washing up! My Aerolatte arrived today and I immediately set about making my coconut tea. It WORKS! It works really well and really quickly. The only thing I will advise is not to fill up your cup/mug too near the top or the swirling liquid will spill over the side when you mix it. I love the storage case this comes in because I have previously had cheap milk frothers and they got ruined in the cutlery drawer. They also didn't have the power to blend bulletproof drinks, so the Aerolatte is definitely worth spending the extra couple of pounds on. I also love the chunky handle and button on this design as I have limited grip due to lupus in my joints and this is really easy and comfortable to use. Overall, I think this is a really well-made gadget and I'm looking forward to using it every day...........might even whip up some egg whites with it!

I've never written a review before but love the Aerolatte so much had to share my enthusiasm. It is so easy to use, just 15-20 seconds and you have super frothy milk. It takes a bit of practice to get the correct timing in the microwave for heating your milk to the optimal temperature for the best froth but once mastered.....super froth. I bought the Aerolatte because I have a Tassimo and didn't enjoy the taste of the milk pods that come with the Tassimo cappuccino and latte, too sweet and artificial tasting and I found I was sensitive to the lactose. The Aerolatte makes a huge difference, I can make my favourite coffees with Lactofree milk, almond milk, soya milk, the experimentation list goes on. It is super easy to clean, a quick rinse under the tap, switch the Aerolatte on briefly and it's dry. Having the case is a bonus as it keeps the Aerolatte clean and safe, and it's a handy enough size to pop in your bag. I highly recommend the Aerolatte, great price, easy to use, easy to clean. I thought the battery life was good but I only use it 2-3 times a day and it lasted about 3 weeks before needing new batteries. Overall, a great product and I wouldn't be without it now.

Good and effective. Froths up milks between red (skimmed) to blue (normal) a treat. You can easily treble -to-quadruple the volume of the milk. Does most of the nut-milks and oat milks very nicely. The foam is very 'dry', and I can't seem to get microfoam suitable for latte-art or for flat-whites, though. Makes wonderful 'babyccinos' for the kids. I chose this one, even though it is a bit more expensive than most of the others because it takes AA batteries rather than AAA. I was impressed that the company have gone to the effort of commissioning Aerolatte branded batteries, which they provide with the product. This gives it the feeling of quality. Note some of the others have a 'double whisking head'. I suspect they have an even more frothy result. Any experts out there who can clarify? Can anyone make coffee-shop quality microfoam and do latte-art? Please do comment.

I love latte coffees and have been searching the web reviews for ages trying to find a coffee machine that would do what it was intended to do without costing a fortune in coffee to run. Nothing seemed to be exactly suitable, there was always a minus somewhere in the machine eg coffee not hot or expensive to run.......But then I came across this little gem !! It makes fantastic lattes everytime. The cost is minimal because I can use any coffee and there is nothing to clutter up the worktop. It is cheap to purchase and run cos it only works on batteries. Just heat up the milk in the microwave until just beginning to boil, in the meantime I make a seperate jug of instant coffee with sugar. When the milk is ready just hold the frother under the surface of the milk and whizz away. Once you have enough froth pour into your latte glasses and then pour through the coffee. Simples!! I sprinkle the top with a dusting of choc powder and there you have it, a professional looking HOT coffee at a fraction of the shop bought one's. Would I recommend to a friend....already have, Would I purchase again.....Most definately!

For years, I just drank black coffee, plain and simple. But recently, I seemed to get bored of it and needed something else. I decided on cappuccino/latte. I already owned an Aeropress to make the espresso-style shot so just needed to buy something to froth the milk. Enter the Aerolatte. There are probably better (and more expensive!) milk frothers out there, but I've owned an Aerolatte before in the past and decided to just buy another one. It does the job just fine and I'm happy with the consistent results it produces. For what it's worth, my 'technique' is as follows: 200ml full fat milk in a glass jug Microwaved on two-thirds power (500W) for 2.5 minutes. This brings the milk to just over 70 degrees. Pop the frother in the bottom of the glass jug/milk and switch on for around 15 seconds. Then move the frother element to just underneath the top of the milk and continue for another 30 seconds just waving it around just under the surface, left and right. Job done! Serve and pour. This would work well with hot chocolate powder as well I expect. Just heat the milk as above, measure the chocolate powder, pour say 50ml of your hot frothed milk onto the powder and stir to a paste, then pour in the rest of the frothed milk. A little tap of choc powder on top to complete the chocolate look. Anyway. Back to the Aerolatte: it does the job well, produces consistent results and is easy to clean. I'll just pour some boiling water from the kettle into a mug, insert the Aerolatte and switch on for ten seconds, switch off. Remove from mug and switch back on to shake off the excess water > done. Still running on the originally supplied batteries a few weeks later. When they bite the dust, I may see what rechargeable batteries run like in the unit, but if results are poor, I'll just keep a supply of decent AAs in the drawer as I do anyway. Lastly, why did I buy an Aerolatte and not one of those fancy kettle-looking milk heaters/frothers? Answer: laziness. While I'm sure those milk frothers are great; how do you clean them? (and you HAVE to clean them after each use coz it's milk!). Bet it's a right faff. No thanks, I prefer to bung the glass milk jug into the dishwasher, rinse the Aerolatte as above and job done. EDIT: SUMMER 2025 still going strong. Someone bought my a Subminimal frother as a gift which cost several times the price of this aerolatte. The aerolatte is somehow superior in every way. As usual, it's always the simple ideas that work best. Please do me a favour. If this review has helped you, please tell a loved one how much they mean to you and how much you appreciate them. Having gone through 3 Le'Xpress Frothers and 2 Ikea ones in 5 years I decided to spend a little more on this alternate product. Having only had it a few weeks I have to say I'm suitably impressed. I cannot yet discuss it's reliability but it terms of performance it does what you would expect. I would say the Le'Xpress Frother spins slightly faster but after making my first latte with this new one I was not bothered. The Le'Xpress Frother would often spin so fast it often over frothed the latte mix, leaving me to wait for 5 minutes for the froth level to subside and finish pouring enough water in the mix. This being that little slower is perfect, it froths well and I've yet to over froth a mix. On a side note, my wife would forever drop our old one or knock it from the wall cabinet, (possibly one of the reasons they stopped working so frequently), this one comes with a stem protector and case. I've decided to use each after use to help protect the whisk and hopefully prolong the life. I have yet to find any other frothers in this price range that come with this so I deem that very much an added bonus.

I was really looking forward to getting the Aerolatte. I'd read such good things about it. However, it has been a disappointment right out of the box. Well, there was no box. The item was ordered directly from Amazon. It arrived in it's blue plastic storage case and the lid was broken, and there was an extra lid. This was weird. It's like someone knew it was broken but instead of simply replacing the lid, they just threw in an extra lid. I've never seen such shoddy product and service from Amazon before. In addition, the stem of the device was a bit bent. I fiddled around with the batteries, trying them one way and then another. The unit did not power on. I slid the power switch - nothing. I had almost given up, when, as I turned it over, it started up (the batteries move about in their place), and I realised that the battery contact on the removable lid doesn't make a reliable connection to the batteries and has to be held in place with your thumb, which hurts after a while. I read about this in some of the reviews on here, but thought those people were unlucky. Now, in use, it actually really does work, and I was impressed with the milk froth it made. Note however that in this review, although it began with what was wrong with my particular item, the 2 stars I've given are not wholly based on what was wrong with my particular device so much as the device itself: it feels really cheap. It looks and feels like something you might get if you collected tokens from a Sunday newspaper, not a premium milk frothing device which I had been led to believe the Aerolatte was. Perhaps the all-metal version has better build quality, but this just felt really cheap. It is the cheapness and obvious lack of reliability, poor build quality, poor instructions, and poor packaging (there was none, just the device in its case with a white barcode sticker stuck to the case) that is really shoddy. Disappointed. I've sent it back to Amazon for a refund. This is like something out of a Christmas cracker.

I bought this to go with an Aeropress Coffee Maker to make cappuccino. Using a tall jug that's not too wide, with hot milk warmed in the microwave for about 1 minute, seems to work best, and this way it's very easy to pour straight into your coffee and then spoon out any remaining froth for the top. Don't warm the milk too long as if you get a skin on it, it doesn't froth so well. I use semi-skimmed milk which gets lots of froth on top. Just experiment with the angle you hold it and how low in the milk (I find on the tilt is the best) and within a time or two you'll find you get the technique for great frothy milk easily - perfect for cappuccino. Just rinse the end straight after use before the milk dries on it, and that's all the cleaning it needs. It's also great you get a holder for it as I expect it would be easy to damage if you just end up shoving it loose in a drawer. Used with the aeropress I get a lovely cappuccino with lots of long lasting frothy milk - delicious!

This is my favorite milk frother. It's the second one I've owned. My first Aerolatte lasted many years.

Bought 3 pieces of the aerolatte and only received 1 that’s in good condition. 1 came with cover broken and the other was clearly opened before without the plastic piece for the battery. It also does not have the manual in there. It is quite disappointing.

Frother came in perfect condition with the batteries it needed to function. It has even fallen a couple of times from my counter and still works perfect.

It works for two days and stopped changed battery even did not works
