works as described
Got this to split a fan header in my NAS for a 4 pin fan to add a small fan for a CPU heat block. The 4 pin original fan works as before and the new 3 pin fan works perfectly as the power and ground pins are split from the PWM pin as expected. Nice price and a well made item. Seems robust and I guess I'll never have to replace it.

Does What it Is Supposed To Do
Little to say about this really - it is a two way fan PWM splitter and it works well. The braiding is tough but flexible and the only build issue I have with it is that the collar between the cable and the plugs is not the best design in the world. When the cable is bent or stretched the internal wires may be exposed. It should be made clear to other purchasers that just because one fan connector is three pin rather than the four required in PWM (Power Width Management) it does not mean the second fan is running at full speed. The PWM controls the power supplied from the MB header and can only use one (PWM compliant) fan to do this. It 'sees' the fans as effectively being just one unit The second fan on the 3-pin connector is synced to this master fan. Whether the slave fan actually needs to be PWM compliant too, as some other reviewers have said, I do not know and it is difficult to find definitive confirmation of this even on dedicated PC forums. I'd assume it does and since most fans, apart from those supplied in the cheaper cases, are PWM compliant now anyway such matters are increasingly irrelevant. However if you really want to manage fans individually then you should not use this splitter, use a purposed designed fan controller instead.

Cheap and cheerful and does the job.
Does the job, plugs into a 4 pin slot on motherboard and the splitter side has 1 4pin and 1 3pin connector (you can still connect 2 4 pin fans to this) I believe the reason for this is the fan you plug into the 4 pin splitter is what the bios will pick up and still allow you to control fan speed as opposed to powering direct from PSU on full all the time. Not a part of the review but a hint in general when getting a splitter. Ensure you check the max amps of the port on your mobo (usually about 1 amp) and that both fans combined don't exceed this to ensure they both work to maximum capacity

Does What it Says, But Is A little Short and Stiff
Received this today after only 2 days, so very pleased with the delivery time. The cable came well packaged and looks and feels like good quality, the cables are covered with a nice looking black sleeving and should suit most builds and is definitely a must for anyone who is planning on running multiple PWM 4 pin fans. Now on to the only Con of this particular product, Length & Stiffness, The actual cable its self is only about 8cm Long with the plugs on either end making it up to be about 15cm, however seen as the plugs are VERY well attached with very stiff heatshrink tubing and do not bend easily without the fear of breaking, only the middle has any bend what so ever. This makes it difficult to plug the cable into a header and bend it back behind the motherboard to achieve neat cable management, and if you do manage it without breaking the cable or the header off your mobo, you will only have a couple of cm of cable to spare, so if your using a larger case you might want to buy a couple of 4 pin extender cables to go with this.

Does what it says on the tin.
Does what it says on the tin. Used to connect a pair of fans to a single PWM header and does the job perfect. The cable itself is braided in a slightly coarse black material, but thankfully you do not see any coloured cables underneath, ideal if you want to make a clean build. The cable is slightly on the shorter side which is a pro and con, great for those who want to minimise clutter and cable management and a con for those who need the length. The two fan headers are slightly different in that one has the full four pins while the second has 3 pins. Normal for this type of cable as the data is read from only one of the fans. For that reason it makes it ideal to use fans with similar characteristics so they are managed with the same RPM profiles. In all product does what it states and for that 5 stars thanks to the reasonable price.

Cool little fan splitting Tool
Amazing little tool. Helped me to run 5 fans in an Micro ATX case (Thermaltake Versa H15) and attain a nice positive pressure. I have 3 exhaust and 2 intake fans running. The top 2 exhaust and 2 intakes run using these splitters. It allows me to use the 3 fan headers on the motherboard (MSI B150m Arctic Mortar) to tune the fans (CoolerMaster JetFlo) so that the 2 intakes and 1 exhaust work on normal loads and then the 2 extra exhaust fans only kick in at higher temperatures. Nice design on the cable which is easy to route and is nicely hidden against the black inside of the case. Would have no problems buying these again if I needed them to run multiple fans off a single motherboard header.

A handy quick pc nick-nack for addressing a shortage of available fan headers.
works well, no problems over an extended period of time.

Seems like when you connect them up to your fans the ...
Does the job reasonably well I guess. I bought 2 of these to connect my four fans to my motherboard. One works well the other one not so well at all..... Seems like when you connect them up to your fans the connection just slips out of the socket too easy imo when your cable managing or under a tiny bit of force it just comes lose.

Producto recomendable.
