Very happy sewer. Machine is easy to operate, very quiet & feels sturdy.

Good all round machine
Like this machine and will get better with practice as I’m just starting to learn where everything is and what settings to use on different materials. I’ve managed to hem 2 pairs of jeans and a top so far so this machine will earn its keep on what I save taking items to a dressmaker.

Brother Strong & Tough Sewing Machine.
Really happy with this sewing machine. I’ve sewn for years and had my last Brother sewing machine for more than 30 years, in my opinion Brother are the best on the market and this one is brilliant, it’s so easy to use and sews like a dream on any thickness. I love the needle threader too, it’s an added bonus with my aging eyesight!!

Strong robust machine
Great to have needle threader. Sewing machine is strong and robust. I’ve never had a Brother machine before and it takes a while to figure out where everything is. Easy to thread and use bobbin winder. I’ve bent three needles already and am trying to figure out why? Overall I’m very pleased

Disappointing
I ordered this Brother HF27 machine after reading the large number of positive reviews on Amazon but I think I really should have paid more attention to the handful of negative reviews. I was very excited when it first arrived, however, this soon turned to frustration and disappointment. It was difficult to insert the bobbin and I was completely unable to get the tension right. All of the stitches seems to pucker and almost eat the fabric and the stitching was uneven and untidy. The thread constantly got caught up and the more decorative stitches didn't seem to work at all. On top of that, I found the stitch dial clunky and the machine even sounded clunky too...not at all smooth. I returned this machine and instead invested in a Brother Innov-Is A50 which is absolutely FANTASTIC (pretty much the polar opposite of the HF27) and well worth the money.
