Benross 41080 Motion Sensor Alarm Includes 2 Remote Controls 5m Range

Great service from Amazon again. Great little product at a very good price. Just bought as an interim whilst I get my house alarm repaired, but it seems to work as advertised and certainly gives out a piercing loud screech. I'll probably fit it into one of my small "no mains electricity" sheds after my alarm system is fixed, for which it should be ideal, being battery powered!

This is very good value for money. It all seems to work well and the siren is surprisingly loud for a small unit. I suited me that it can be powered by a mains adaptor as well as batteries because I only wanted it for scaring away stray cats that come through our cat-flap! In serious use it would have to be positioned out of reach, otherwise a thief could quickly disconnect it or remove the batteries.

I BOUGHT 2 OF THESE ALARMS,EVEN THOUGH THE REVIEWS WERE MIXED. AFTER INSTALLING BOTH THE ALARMS I TESTED THEM. IT WAS WHEN THE ALARM WENT OFF GREAT LOUD VOLUME FOR EVERY ONE TO HEAR,BUT TRYING TO TURN IT OFF WAS NIGHTMARE THE REMOTES SEEM TO HAVE A MIND OF THEIR OWN.BUT FOR THE PRICE I SUPPOSE THEY`RE NOT TO BAD AND DO A JOB.

Arrived in very quick time; well packed & quite decent quality in terms of construction.The alarm does lack instructions other than a few brief words on the packaging itself. But you're not really told what happens when you want to set the alarm, or what the green & red lights mean; how long you have to evacuate the room once set; or how long you have to switch the alarm off when you re-enter the room.Apart from that, installing the alarm was easy and straight forward enough. The alarm needs 4 "AA" batteries, so make sure you have a good supply. I can't comment on how long they last as I've only had the system for a day or so; but other reviewers seem to think the alarm eats batteries for breakfast, lunch and dinner! (Although you can add a DC mains adaptor if you prefer)The two remotes are good and well constructed. Don't forget to remove the plastic film at the back of the remote to "turn on" the batteries inside. I would also suggest buying some spare remote batteries just as backup.Once rigged up its fairly easy to set the alarm with the single multi-function (arm/disarm) RC button. I would say you have about 15 seconds to leave the room before the alarm "sets". Once you re-enter you have about 5 or 6 seconds to disable the alarm. This time delay bothers me because it means any quick minded thief might be able to pull or hit the alarm from its mooring and quickly remove the batteries. Which highlights another weakness with this alarm: the lid that covers the batteries just slips onto the unit with just a touch of force. And likewise for removing it. What would have been useful is to have the lid screwed to the unit as well, which would mean a thief would not be able to remove the lid in time to remove the batteries before it went off.But I do like this alarm. For the price it certainly acts a good deterrent for the opportunist. It's cheap, simple and effective, especially for sheds, garages & conservatories.4/5

Bought this Motion Sensor Alarm with Remote Control in October 2013 to place near the front door.Disappointed with the range of the sensor but it's OK for the price.The really annoying thing about it is that it frequently sets itself on without you touching it. This means that the next time you move near the sensor, the alarm goes off - which is rather alarming (excuse the pun)!The quality of the sensor and the alarm sound is acceptable for the price, but the fact that it sets itself off for no rhyme nor reason is not acceptable. More testing needed to be done on this item.

This little alarm is really good. Bought 2, one for my garage and one for my flat entrance and they work really well. They don't eat batteries either, which is nice. The alarm is loud enough to stop an intruder and give peace of mind. Would recommend.

I bought two of this item, when received one of the items worked ok the other did not work. It switched on but was not picking up anything through the sensor no matter how long you waited. I returned this item by 1st class recorded £2-93 and after 10 days i contacted them by email they then issued a new one i received a new replacement that works fine. No refund of the postage cost was issued to myself for the item that was sent back faulty to (iosss).

Por el precio que tiene viniendo de este proveedor uno no puede quejarse ya que cuesta casi la mitad que comprado en otro proveedor. El envío con amazon premium aunque lo vende otra empresa. Y bueno, que decir, 8 euros, así que imaginar la calidad, pero vamos es la misma que el que cuesta 15. Es un producto OEm y cada marca hace packaging con su propio nombre.Algo que no me gustó que el que lo hizo debía de estar cabreado porque la caja interna donde pones las baterías venía arañada con un destornillador como con mala leche, pero bueno, tras comprobar que funcionaba bien, como he dicho, por ese precio me lo he quedado. Para mi trastero suficiente.

ce produit fonctionne bien mais les telecommandes sont bien trop fragilespour s'en servir tous les jour voir ce probleme avec le fournisseurpour ne plus avoir ces desagrement
