No I don't think they can be used for "boil in the bag " cooking. You may have to consult Lakeland directly for another answer, but I would not use them for this. They are great for freezing, reheating in a microwave, but to be truthful, I always empty my soups etc into a saucepan and heat it up that way.

Are these bags reusable?

Yes, wash thoroughly and reuse. But not if you've heated the contents still in the bag, in the microwave. Ruins the plastic seal. To defrost frozen contents, put the bag in a bowl of very, very hot but not boiling, water. When defrosted, then empty into a microwaveable bowl or into a pan for the hob or dish for the regular oven for reheating. I only send them for recycling if the seal goes or the bag is damaged.

Are these bags (which are great to use) recyclable?

According to the packaging these bags are NOT currently recyclable. However, it is quite some time since I purchased these (they wash and re-use brilliantly) this may have changed. It may be worth contacting the manufacturer or the local recycling operator. Hope this helps
