Excellent 5-Gallon Buckets, Durable, Food-Safe, and Great Value I'm impressed with this set of 5-gallon buckets. They boast great quality and thick, sturdy walls, making them incredibly durable for various uses. At a reasonable price for six buckets and lids, this was definitely the best pick for my needs. They do exactly what they're intended for, and the added bonus of them being food-safe is a significant plus. My primary use for these buckets is storing Mylar bags full of food, and for this purpose, they're perfect. The lids provide a one-time complete seal upon initial installation, ensuring maximum freshness and protection, However even after you pull the freshness tab you can still reuse the lid for continued utility. While I haven't put the seal to the long-term test yet, the gasket appears to be made of a quality rubber, which gives me confidence that it will create a reliably airtight seal. The only minor point for improvement would be the handle. It could be more robust and isn't the most comfortable for prolonged carrying when the bucket is full. While the plastic might eventually show wear years down the line, for my current uses, this isn't a major concern. Overall, if you're looking for high-quality, versatile, and food-safe 5-gallon buckets with secure, reusable lids, this set is an excellent investment. Just make sure you get a lid opener and rubber mallet to go along with the buckets as these lids can be a royal pain in the butt.

Good quality thick mil plastic buckets w/handles and lids....definitely good quality! The lids we saw sone individuals gave a poor rating because of difficulty with the lids, these lids are just as expected and functionality is as was engineered...YES they are very difficult to remove quickly, especially if you don't know how! At this juncture we would definitely recommend this product to others for dry storage!

Third summer of regular use. Lid often sticks to the seat so it can be tricky to lift when it's closed tight. Flies still manage to get in. I invert a trash bag and slide it over the entire container & that seems to solve the problem. The seat's slightly cracked from use but not entirely, so it's still working ok. Will probably buy another one when the day comes.

Got these to store up some rice. Lids are a tight fit with a seal which is what I want.

I used one to replace a bucket in the Master Bath. We have well water and the bath is a bit far from the hot water heater. Thus about two gallons of water is run down the drain to the septic system just warming up the shower. So I use the bucket for storing the water which would flow down the drain. I can lift the toilet tank lid and dump in water to refill the tank. I took the others and drilled a hold in the side about an inch above the bottom and put a bucket spigot in. I tapped the filter housing for my sediment filter housing so I can flush out the sidiment build up from the well. I let the water settle. After settling for a day or so it is transferred into a 175 gallon. That tank is used to store water from back flushing the clarifier for the well system after it runs through a sediment filter. This system is used for flushing toilets in the house through a separate water line. Extends the life of my septic system along with lowering electric costs.

They are great for bulk storage of food products.
