AudioQuest Record Brush Antistatic Carbon Plate Brush

After many years of using CDs I’m back to listening music on vinyls and keeping the static fluff can be an issue. This little brush helps reduces this annoying problem. The bristles are soft and unlikely to scratch the vinyl surface.

The brush itself cleans the vinyl really well, but the cover which has to rotated to clean/protect the actual brush when not in use detaches far too easily. Just a small niggle, but irritating.

Bought a cheaper brush and it was terrible. This is soft and gets almost everything up in a few spins.

I have quite a few old LPs most in very good condition but there are some pops and background noise on a few of them. I used the brush as directed and could not believe the difference it made. Lots of the pops have gone and obviously some of the pops and background noise was dirt and static. A good product, quite expensive and wrapped in a black non- recyclable packet box thing inside a black cardboard box. Plastic packet not required and packaging could be much reduced.

Looks & feels premium from a well known brand. It does its job well … better than a budget one? Probably not but I’m happy.

I can't tell if it does what it's meant to do as I've not put records on without giving them a clean! The product information sounds impressive and technical - so I guess it works! With a new record playing there are the occasional bursts of what must be static - can't be a scratch... I'm no vinyl record expert. Most of my records are old and have dust embedded and a few have scratches. I bought this in the hope things won't get worse! One thing - people remark about the cover coming off easily - yes this happens until one realises that if you twist it 180 degrees - rather than just 90 (from when closed) then it doesn't get accidentally knocked off.

AudioQuest just get things right. What's not to like at this price. I've seem (but obviously not bought) a german brand record brush that sells for £360!

Removes dust easily and quickly. An excellent and simple way to keep vinyl clean.

Great little record cleaning brush to brush off and remove static from your record each time before playing. Box is marked "Made in China" FYI. The carbon fiber brush filaments are conductive and attached electrically to the gold metal strip along each side of the brush body. The idea is the static electricity on the surface of the record gets grounded to your body and dissipated. The rotating protective cover also cleans the brush bristles when closed. To be honest the brush does feel a bit flimsy for the price, but I suppose its strong enough for the purpose. Would be nice if the price was a bit lower, but Audioquest products seem to have tight price controls no mater where you buy it. Enjoy your Vinyl!

I originally got the boundless brush and it actually made the record sound worse....it was actually putting dust and debris onto the record or just moving dust around without picking it up....threw it in the trash and got this Audioquest brush and it made a world of difference....keeps the record sounding like new....yes it's more expensive, but it actually works,so well worth the few extra dollars. ...thank you.
