Great cable cutter, cuts brilliantly!

Great little handy cutters to have around n your vans tools box

According to my trainee electrician daughter, these Aubon 150mm Cable Cutters are “fine” — which, coming from a 17-year-old, is basically the highest praise you’ll ever get. Good size, do the job, and apparently pass the sacred teenager test of “not rubbish.” If she’s happy, I’m happy — and that’s rarer than a tidy bedroom.

Excellent, can easily handle 2.5mm cable, very sharp & a quick snip. Very handy, speeds up the cable cutting process. Easy to store, small, easy to grip and hold, not stiff but sturdy, nicecdesign and highlycreccommended for professional electrician. Price the max i would pay but worth it in the end. Notvhad longvenough to comment on durability.

Good quality cutters for a reasonable price

I'm a electrician & I bought these to trial them out and see how they work! For ANY tradesman, these are great cutters to strip T&E & flex cables. However, it is a struggle to cut through 25mm meter tails, in fact it is absolutely difficult!! Buy these if you wish but personally I only use them for cutting smaller size cables

I bought this for cutting 2.5mm and 1.5mm 3 core ho7 rubber cable. it's a tough cut for small diy cutters and as a sound engineer, i make a lot of my own power cables and so I was getting fed up of pliers and wire cutters that butchered the job, rather than giving a good clean cut. I couldn't tell from lots of the descriptions and reviews which cutter would do the job properly. I took a risk on these. worth every penny. the jaws have two separate openings, one is around 9mm diameter and the front, smaller opening is around 6mm when in the open position full opened. the 2.5mm cable has an outside diameter of 12mm. the jaws extended wide enough for the cable ..i.e. to 12mm diameter. at that size and smaller it cuts fast and easy, first time, fast every time. these cutters had paid for themselves in the first couple of weeks I owned them and frankly, i wouldn't be without them now. if you need a single tool to do a single job, this is it.

I do a lot of cycling (handcycling in fact) and maintain my own cycles, so am always on the look out for tools that might come in useful. I bought a pair of £20 cable cutters a while back for my main toolkit, but spotted these as a possible pair to take in my spares bag when out on rides. It's very frustrating on the odd occasion when you have to swap a brake cable and are unable to cut it. So on the basis of some positive reviews I thought I'd risk a few pounds to try these. And very glad I did too. These are the ONLY cable cutters that I've found besides the expensive versions in my kit, that can cut an outer cable (brake or gear) and still leave it open to push the inner through. They are a decent weight, very sharp, easy to use, with good handles, and give a very good cut to any of the cycle cables I tried. OK, so to get enough pressure you may need two hands (see video) but that's really not an issue. A great buy.

Does the job. No complaint so far

Despite the small size I've used it to cut several sizes of steel cable and it hasn't had any trouble up to 6mm. No dents or wear either so far. Nonostante siano piccoline, le ho usate svariate volte per tagliare cavetti di acciaio di diverse dimensioni e hanno tagliato tutto fino a 6mm senza problemi. Fin'ora la lama non si è per niente ammaccata o logorata.

Diese Zange ist zwar sehr preisgünstig, aber reicht vollkommen aus um im Hobbybereich Kabel zu trennen. Sie hat zwei unterschiedlich große Schneiden, was besonders toll funktioniert um sehr dünne oder eben dicke Kabel zu trennen. Die Gummierung der Griffe dünstet nicht zu viel Weichmacher aus, wenn man sie in der Werkstatt lagert vergeht der Geruch sehr schnell. Klare Kaufempfehlung.

Cet outil remplace tout : dégainage, coupe, dénudage. On opère sans abimer les conducteurs et on gagne du temps. Parfait.
