invested in a set of safe plastic bowls and was genuinely disappointed with my first experience. Those bowls ended up in the bin immediately—not the healthiest choice for my family. But here's where the real magic happens when you compare that disappointment to Pyrex. These exceptional bowls have truly been everywhere in my kitchen and have brilliantly proven their worth through my son's cooking adventures. They passed every single test with flying colours. I've completely transformed my cooking methods. I've abandoned traditional saucepans in favour of a Dutch oven pot with a 2L Pyrex bowl nestled inside, surrounded by water. I cook everything—vegetables, custard, rice—whatever a saucepan would normally handle. And the oven versatility is remarkable. I prepare bread, puddings, and countless dishes using the same Dutch oven pot with Pyrex inside and water bath method. The microwave performance is extraordinary. Simply add cling-film on top and you've got super speedy results. Most of my creative cooking ideas work beautifully. I frequently use a bowl instead of a plate—especially for those indulgent moments when I insert scones with generous dollops of butter and jam, microwave them, and top with clotted cream or condensed milk. Try achieving that on a plate! A small Pyrex bowl performs wonderfully in an air fryer, creating absolutely heavenly Yorkshires. The freezing capability is excellent, though common sense and proper care are essential. Whisking custard powder or that well-known butterscotch dessert mix is perfectly suited to the large bowl, offering plenty of space for banana slices. We eat directly from these bowls and never experience any unpleasant taste. From cereal with a quick kettle rinse, to microwaved rice and sauce, pudding, or ice cream with tinned peaches—everything is effortless. A quick spray with a quality cleaner and you're done. Plus, you're saving money by not using your gas boiler for hot water. Pyrex is genuinely super versatile. You're only limited by your imagination.

Using it more than 1.5 years Microwave safe and very good quality. Mostly using oily foods in the bowl but easy to clean. Stays as new even after 2 years

Love the size and durability of this bowl. Very well made, super easy to clean (i mainly hand wash). I use this primarily for making salads everyday which is it a perfect size for.

You can’t argue with the quality of Pyrex so I was delighted to find this at such a great price Haven’t used plastic bowls for years as I found that I had to throw them out after only a few months because they retain staining and odours. My glass bowls have lasted years, with no adverse effects and are far more environmentally friendly. Glass also makes it easier to see whether contents have been thoroughly combined This bowl really is a great size and perfect for cake mixtures and pastry and, as previously mentioned, great price!!

Perfect size bowl for snacking or for cooking (eg whisking scrambled eggs). Pyrex quality so you can melt butter in the microwave in it with no fears, or stick ice cubes in it and put it in the freezer for a party. Absolutely indispensable
