Olmeca Altos Reposado Tequila, 100% Blue Weber Agave, 38% ABV, 70cl

Bought to recreate a cocktail had on our travels, I've no idea if what was made is anything like the original, but it went down too easily so, good enough. Definitely a stronger taste than the white or silver versions, so you are very aware that you are drinking tequila. Used in a short cocktail, with simple syrup, lime juice and an amarena cherry (for a more sour but tasty twist, replace 5ml of simple syrup with the cherry juice). It tends to separate a bit, so mixing/stirring was needed fairly regularly. A simple and elegant bottle, that is pretty enough for gifting without being pretentious. A more rounded taste than a lot of the more well known or cheaper brands, but as the price is in the same ballpark as the cheaper brands, this one is the easy and obvious choice. I prefer silver tequila, so my experience of reposado tequila is somewhat limited, but this one is definitely top of my slowly expanding list. I've a bottle of jose coming, will update review with a comparison. Edit. This has a deeper and more rounded flavour than Jose, so Altos remains my first choice in tequila.

This is probably my favourite tequila, I sip this over ice or neat but it works great in a cocktail too so is very versatile. It's a smooth good quality tequila at a brilliant price

Excellent

It is a nice Tequila without breaking the bank for the like of Patron.

When it comes to Tequila, value for money, exceptional.

Great to drink on its own or as a margarita. I have tried many tequilas and this is my favourite. I have purchased other more expensive tequilas and in my opinion this is the best .

This is delicious! I love tequila but normally drink blanco, I thought I'd try this for important research reasons... I'm so glad I did. It's fantastic with lemonade and a wedge of lime. I would absolutely recommend!

In this price range an excellent tequila. Works perfectly for making a more delicious Reposado Margarita

Consegna impeccabile, prodotto come descritto, venditore consigliato

Ottima tequila da gustare cosi o nei cocktail!
