Sony AGR2 Grip for DSC-RX Series - Black

The perfect, must-have grip for this camera. Forget the others with cages and wooden/plastic handles etc (which I returned). This grip should be included with every RX100 as standard. It feels so much better in the hand than other options. Excellent!

Expensive for what it is. A couple of inches of moulded rubber...but indispensable. This makes the camera feel much safer in your hand. Very pleased I purchased it.....but you can't help thinking that it really should be supplied with the camera when purchased....After all the Sony camera is expensive.

This grip is a simple addition, but it noticeably improves handling on my RX100. The camera feels much more secure in hand, especially when shooting one-handed or taking quick photos on the go. The material has a nice texture that adds confidence without being bulky, and it blends well with the camera’s design so it doesn’t look out of place. Installation was straightforward and it fits neatly without interfering with buttons or ports. It’s also lightweight, so you don’t feel any extra weight when carrying the camera around. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that once applied, repositioning isn’t really an option, so you need to get it right the first time. Aside from that, it’s a worthwhile accessory that enhances usability without compromising style.

Very impressed, actual Sony grip in a Sony marked box, followed the instructions and it fitted perfect without any issues. The camera had heavy use on a 2 week trip to the USA and it works perfectly. No issues with it peeling off etc. It improved the feel of the camera and made it much easier for use on handed. I attached it to a mk3, but sure it will fit other versions Yes I would Recommend

The Sony AG-R2 Attachment grip is sold on a “one size fits all” basis for the Sony RX100 range of cameras. However, dimensions differ slightly between models, and in some models the attachment contacts the lens barrel, whilst in others there is a small gap. For those of us that read instructions, all is clearly shown. I first cleaned the camera surface with an alcohol wipe and soft tissue. Installation thereafter is simple but care is needed as once stuck down no corrective adjustment is possible. As instructed, the top edge is carefully and lightly aligned before pressing the remainder down. The adhesive then requires 24 hours before its full strength is achieved. Is it worth it? It initially strikes one as being expensive, even at Amazon’s price, but in use it does certainly make a difference. The camera is much more comfortable to hold now, and definitely feels more secure, especially using it single handedly. Quality is high, and it looks like part of the camera as opposed to something obviously added. Only concern is the long term effectiveness of the adhesive, the Sony instructions suggesting replacement of the item if “separation or peeling is noticed”.

I would say this is a must-buy for any Sony RX100 camera. I previously bought one for my RX100 Mk 1 (see photo) and I now have one for my Mk VI as well. Without it the camera is way too slippery and hard to hold. The grip is very easy to apply and my first one stayed on for 7 years with daily use. It gives you a much more comfortable and secure way of holding the camera without adding any bulk (it doesn't stick out any more than the lens fully retracted). I do not understand why I doesn't come with one as standard (especially considering the price of the cameras!) but since it doesn't, make sure you include one if you buy a Sony RX100 camera.

Great value and makes the RX100 much more comfortable to hold. Easy to install and fits perfectly to the camera body. The material is grippy and feels high quality. It also makes the camera more easy to pull out of a camera bag. Would purchase again and recommend to any other RX100 owners.

Works great for my m6! Easy to put on and appears to sit securely. Highly recommend for a much better grip!
