I dont have a laptop and tried to do on my movile andriod but doesnt work, is this a pointless product then ? Help my daighter had for xmas yday?

You need a laptop really as you need to download a file In order for it to work and register it. And with the website links they give you, it will enable you to download the audio file for each book you have bought. (Or the book won’t work) it is annoying at first but their website has lots of tips in their Q&A section, which helped me.

Can you use this with 3D books?

I don't have any 3D books but I'm sure it will still work you just won't have the 3D image that projects on the 3D one.
