Nice learning tool but pen does not always recognise object so a little hit and miss
We purchased this as a gift and is liked by the recipient who is a toddler. They like using the pen and hearing the words therefore is learning. We liked the idea of a pen telling them what things are so it would make a great learning tool. We have not purchased extra books yet as they are pricey so will buy one at a time as there is a good selection available. The books are not the easiest to clip onto the learning pad. This is a little hit & miss because the pen does not always recognise the item when you touch the book which is not good so I may have to contact the manufacturer about this as it is frustrating for the little one. It is a well known brand so this is disappointing. Pros Educational tool Engaging Colourful books Portable More books available to continue new learning Cons The pen does not pick up everything you touch when it should Extra books are costly High price for the LeapFrog LeapStart Electronic Book alone as you need the extra books Needs connection to laptop Good concept, it just does not work as well as I would like it to.
