Amazing fan - quiet and moves a lot of air!
Back Story:I have a HTPC that has a small ITX case.. which had a nice low power Haswell Refresh I3 (4170T) in it and a lowish power gfx card (GTX 1030 - only 30 watts TDP).. This was used for casual gaming and media playback of movies etc.I started to get back into gaming after about 5 years away (birth of kids etc), and decided to up my processor and gfx card.. The CPU got upgraded to a Haswell I5 (4790K), and the wattage therefore went up from 35w to 88w.Unfortunately my Scythe Kodati CPU cooler was VERY noisy trying to deal with 88 watts as it was meant for only 65w processors.Solution:The solution was buying this Noctua NF-A9 fan.I took the stock fan off the cooler (an 80mm x 10mm affair), and strapped this to it with some heat resistant rubber bands used for cooking. It increased the height of the cooler from 3.7 to 6cm, but still enough room in my case, as I had a nax height of about 10cm.I then started up the PC with its new fan on the cooler, and et voila! A lot less noisy (Kodati fan was rated as 32db max, this one at 22db max) and actually allowed me to overclock a little bit (200mhz only) due to the extra air flow (from 24 cfm to 46 cfm)!It comes with a great range of stuff in the box too - a splitter, now noise adaptor etc.Very happy with the result!

Perfect as always
I used these for my 6800pro Ugreen NAS. They fit perfectly and the airflow is increased but the noise is much reduced allowing me to leave it set on default. As you would expect these fans came with loads of adapters etc and were well packed. they were sturdy and the rubber corners helped with my metal chassis. The performancce of Noctua is always great and to me the the little bit more thay cos is worth it.

Nice & quiet, for a renewed Dell Optiplex 9010 MT, purchased through Amazon
This review is for the twelve volt & four pin version of the fan, installed into a renewed Dell Optiplex 9010 MT, purchased through Amazon. The fan is lovely & quiet. It's very easy to install, using the screws provided in the box. There are rubber grommet things in the box; I didn't bother with them. Please note: the Dell motherboard has a five pin header; a five pin (from the Dell motherboard) to four pin (to the fan's cable) adapter cable is required. These adapters are easily obtained. The above Dell DID NOT like the fan speed reduction cable included in the box: using this cable brought about a series of beeps, a pre-boot/POST (power-on self-test) error diagnotic screen & a refusal to boot to Windows. This was easily resolved by removing the fan speed reduction cable. In short: a very quiet & relatively cheap replacement for an existing fan; ample cables & fittings provided; very nice presentation with high quality packaging.A very good product & highly recommended.

The usual Noctua quality!
Noctua have an amazing track record for fans and this one is no exception. This 92mm PWM fan is of a great quality, but it also contains a variety of accessories in the box that often be more than enough for most installations. The fan itself is styled in Noctua's brown/beige colour scheme, and is silent in it's operation unless running close to the maximum RPM.Overall, this is a brilliant bit of kit. I used this as the exhaust fan on a PC case that I bought recently. It isn't my first Noctua product, and it certainly won't be my last!

Good stuff
Good and silent fans, really impressive in comparison to other brands like corsair etc.,

Best you can get, just don't expect miracles
I've bought them after reading many reviews. Used one of them for my chinese projector. They are quiet but not as quiet as I've expected.Build quality is great, so are extras and you definitely get what you paid for.

If only all products were engineered like this!
The Noctua NF-A9 PWM was bought to replace the Wraith Stealth cooler fan (which does not live up to its name)! This cooler is bundled with the AMD Ryzen 5600x CPU but the fan used is not as quiet as it should be - an annoying low level ticking sound is produced by the fan motor which becomes more evident as the speed increases above 1500rpm. So I replaced it with the Noctua NF-A9 PWM and the difference is almost unbelievable. I cant hear this fan and to achieve the same CPU temperature, it only has to run at 60% of the original fan speed! This is an outstanding product both in terms of performance and value for money.

Fantastiche ventole.
Ennesima ventola Noctua a casa mia.

Silent, Efficient, and Perfect for NAS (or other small) Enclosures
I bought a few Noctua NF‑A9 PWM fans to replace the standard units in my NAS enclosure, and the improvements are noticeable from the moment they start spinning. The stock fans were noticeably loud, especially in a quiet room, but these Noctuas immediately brought the noise level down to something barely audible. For a device that runs 24/7 in a living space, that alone makes them worth it.Cooling performance is actually better than with the original fans. Temperatures dropped a few degrees under load, and the PWM control keeps everything smooth and stable without sudden ramp‑ups. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality is exactly what you expect from Noctua: solid, reliable, and engineered with care.If you want to keep your NAS (or any small enclosure) as quiet as possible without sacrificing cooling, this is an excellent upgrade. Highly recommended.
