Presents the unifying world-concept long sought by scientists, mystics, and sages: an Integral Theory of Everything • Explains how modern science has rediscovered the Akashic Field of perennial philosophy • New edition updates ongoing scientific studies, presents new research inspired by the first edition, and includes new case studies and a section on animal telepathy Mystics and sages have long maintained that there exists an interconnecting cosmic field at the roots of reality that conserves and conveys information, a field known as the Akashic record. Recent discoveries in vacuum physics show that this Akashic Field is real and has its equivalent in science’s zero-point field that underlies space itself. This field consists of a subtle sea of fluctuating energies from which all things arise: atoms and galaxies, stars and planets, living beings, and even consciousness. This zero-point Akashic Field is the constant and enduring memory of the universe. It holds the record of all that has happened on Earth and in the cosmos and relates it to all that is yet to happen. In Science and the Akashic Field , philosopher and scientist Ervin Laszlo conveys the essential element of this information field in language that is accessible and clear. From the world of science he confirms our deepest intuitions of the oneness of creation in the Integral Theory of Everything. We discover that, as philosopher William James stated, “We are like islands in the sea, separate on the surface but connected in the deep.” Review: Very Intriguing and Thought Provoking - Science with a touch of mystic hope that consciousness could very well survive physical death. This book is written is such a way that it keeps the reader interested. It was difficult for me to put this book down. Review: A privilege to read - Laszlo is one of the most intriguing and competent minds today. Ground breaking creativity. With Laszlo, Capra, and Goswami all seem to bridge from quantum Physics to spiritual and religious probababilities with ease. My difficulty is, that not being a scientist or a mathamatician, I am never FULLY convinced or at ease with the explanations of the bridge of one topic to the other.. I intend to write my explanations of questions, but to do so only as a humble, probably wrong, layman who has been stimulated by superior thinkers. I am not their peer, but have spent some years reading and thinking . After a lifetime of being aPresbyterian I jusr felt there was more.. A great qriter and legitamate thinker. weyouth fogelberg

If you are interested in the mysteries of the universe and cosmology this book is for you.
I have had a passion for science (physics, cosmology, astronomy and space travel) since my early youth. Recently while surfing on Amazon I came across this very interesting and informative 194 page soft cover book (Science and the Akashic Field: An integral theory of everything by Ervin Laszlo) which I purchased for a bargain price. This book explores the ideas, scientific theories and hypothesis of many our most brilliant scientists in their search for a theory of everything in the universe. This text is organized into two parts. Part one explains the basic foundations of an integral of theory of everything. Various principles are explored concerning Quantum [physics, cosmology, and biology. The second part of this book covers the in-formed universe and deals with the origins and destiny of life and the universe and consciousness-human and cosmic and the poetry of akashic vision. The author explains even complex ideas in a way that the average educated person can easily grasp and understand. If you are interested in questions and possible answers to the many mysteries of the cosmos, you should checkout this book. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. The universal in-formation field
Irvin Laszlo's "Science and the Akashic Field" discusses his theory that there is more to reality than the physical realm of modern science. His central point is this: "we need to recognize the presence of a factor that is neither matter nor energy. The importance of this factor is now acknowledged not only in the human and social sciences, but also in the physical and life sciences. It is information - information as a real and effective factor setting the parameters of the universe at its birth, and thereafter governing the evolution of its basic elements into complex systems ... It is the presence of in-formation throughout the cosmos, carried and conveyed by the universal in-formation field we have named the Akashic field." Laszlo credits David Bohm with some of the insights underlying his (Laszlo's) theory: "other physicists, among them David Bohm, refused to accept the quantum physical concept as a full description of reality. His "hidden variables theory" suggests that the selection of the state of the quantum is not random; it is guided by an underlying physical process. In Bohm's theory a pilot wave, indentified as the quantum potential "Q", emerges from a deeper, unobservable domain of the universe and guides the observed behavior of particles. Thus, particle behavior is indeterministic only at the surface; at the deeper level it is determined by the quantum potential. Later Bohm called the deeper level of reality the "implicate order", a holofield where all the states of the quantum are permanently coded. Observed reality is the "explicate order"; it is rooted in, and unfolds from, the implicate order." I find similarities between the ideas of Bohm and Laszlo and those of Michael Talbot "The Holographic Universe"; Gregg Braden "The Divine Matrix"; Dean Radin "Entangled Minds"; Bruce Lipton "The Biology of Belief" and Bernard Haisch "The God Theory". In various ways these writers have postulated connectivity or "entanglement" between all (including concealed) aspects of the universe. Like the authors mentioned above, Laszlo acknowledges the reality of spirituality: "Intercessory prayer and spiritual healing, together with other mind- and conscious intent-based practices yield impressive evidence regarding the effectiveness of telepathic and telesomatic information- and energy-transmission. The practices produce real and measurable effects, but classical medicine and the mainstream of Western science have no explanation for them." The implicate order, akashic or zero-point field, psi, or matrix, may be related to the ancient concept of a ubiquitous ether, and to tao and karma; if so, they might one day help us to integrate not just science and religion but also religion and religion. Regardless of how much of Laszlo's theories one accepts as factual or probable, his writing is absorbing and way of looking at the world is mind-opening and worthy of reflection.

Mind-expanding Treasure!
This author’s TOE (Theory of Everything) provides a huge WOW awareness of the life force of the Metaverse and the mind of God! Not only is the Akashic Field of our energy field explained in a simplified and logical way, LasLo has also communicated in layman’s language, his theory about the ins and outs of the living Metaverse we humans and others reside within!

Printing presentation is not great.
I'm roughly 20% through this book and still haven't run into the Akashic Field. So far it's a rehash of physics. The biggest issue I have, however, is the presentation of the text. For some unknown reason, the publisher thought it made sense to randomly put large blocks of text in gray boxes. It's okay (but distracting) if you're reading in Kindle's normal white background. But once you use the night mode (white text with black background), it becomes extremely difficult to read. Publishers of ebooks should no better.

Informative
In de;t work on the Akashic Field and quantum wave motion. It is a good read for the understanding of what the quantum field is in terms of quantum physics. Still reading but the reading is thought provoking.

Quantum physics is catching up.
Laszlo refers to what he calls the Akashic Field which is what many would refer to as consciousness and that is what I like to call it. I like the angle suggested by Thomas Campbell and how he describes consciousness. There is no doubt Laszlo is on the right track and light years ahead of the mainstream plus his perspective fits in with new findings on the subject of the holographic universe and simulated reality theories which are gaining ground like a forest fire right now. It dovetails into these areas nicely and is a highly thought provoking read. Quantum physics is moving fast, computer code has been discovered in the universe and it may well be only 100 years or so before we are able to construct a biological simulated reality just like the one we are living in. We then have to ask, who is pushing the buttons on ours.

What is Matter
An amazing book, inspiring amazing insights, confirmed by Laszlo’s further books, coherent and concordant with other similar must reads, like Richard Tarnas’s “Cosmos & Psyche” , and all: Archetypal Astrology , and Joseph Campbell ‘s writings narrating the Mythic Initiations and Ascension rituals of the Hero within each of us… Laszlo’s descriptions of the Quantum Field, with its singularities, particles, patterns and behaviors, makes the Akashic Field and Chronicles look strangely like a magnifying mirror images of the Observers’s minds and thoughts processes, expectations and intentions, derived from their theories, equations, geometries and Coherences Syntheses of all the possibilities of Everything Possible. As below, so above. The observable Cosmos is also a collective of sentient quantum fields , full of stars as quantas of Conscious Intelligences , and full of Live Civilizations as patterns of entanglements. Humans are somewhere in between, entangled in this Sun-Earth’s quantum field, in a far suburb of this Milky Way galaxy. Earth’s Humans are not alone, just not Collectively Civilized enough yet to be worthy of offers of sharing “strategic alliances” with other Stellar Communities. ETs have been here, long long ago, per Humanity’s Myths, Legends, Circular Calendars and Sacred Teachings. ETs will be here again, shortly, after Humans self-destruct, after the bees, sea mammals and Trees. ETs are likely already sorry and disappointed by the needed tasks awaiting Them, to clean up and restore Earth’s environments from all the messy damages and wastes Humans are leaving behind. Namaste !
