ACSM's Resources for the Personal Trainer (American College of Sports Medicine)

Short version: I originally took this exam using the old previous edition.... of course I failed. So, I decided to pay the money and ordered this newer edition. It arrived in excellent condition and was easy to read. I put in hours every day to study from the beginning to the end of the book. I passed with flying colors! Extended version: I would say, the only way it was possible for me to pass this exam was because this book has a scratch off area where it gives you an access code to “thePoint” website. I made an account and bought the 3 month access for the study resources. I ONLY took quizzes and read this book...nothing else. I did not “join a class” like it mentioned. I simply just did quiz after quiz until I reached the highest level. There are 4 domains that you should strive to master. Overtime I really enjoyed reading and quizzing. I liked the challenge. I appreciate that there are reference pages and explanations for each question on the website. The book and this website complimented each other perfectly. Hope this helps.

I can't believe this was only $8. It feels like such a win. There are a few highlighted parts, but the person seemed good at studying! Amazing condition for the price, thank you so much.

This book presents a very thorough curriculum for the aspiring personal trainer. Easy to follow and has several chapters on running a business. Recommended reading!

I understand it's a text, but man, they could've at least tried to make it sound more interesting. However, this is the Gold standard of any personal training text and it shows. I learned more reading this book than I did with any other college or personal training course and I often use it as a reference for my fitness blog. Highly recommended work from a highly recommended personal training organization.

Dont care enough to buy a new one that is used for studying only. Package came in neat, minor pencil marks and work from previous student but nothing of bother!

Easy to follow and read, absolutely get this to pass your cert test!!
