UPDATED REVIEW: Despite the minor flaw of the closing mechanism not being that smooth due to misalignment, I love it. I've bought more jewelry since I got this box and it is perfectly protected, along my watches. Five stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: As many reviewers, I had all my costume jewelry scattered around in all sorts of containers: boxes, jars, trays, you name it. I saw the cutest antique jewelry box at a random store but it was humongous -for my tiny dresser at least- and still required some TLC so I searched on here and found this one, which in my view, was the best choice: not too bulky, several compartments and on sale! What's not to like. Even though it is all costume jewelry, I like that it is finally properly stored to avoid any damage or tarnishing and now it is so easy to find each piece instead of scavenging through piles of tangled chains and earrings. 😆 Mine is not perfect though: there is a very slight misalignment, which makes closing it not as smooth. It also has an odd smell to it, likely coming from the glue, but I don't really mind -besides aerating it, storing a sachet or pot-pourri would solve that- . The key it comes with, I find cute but not really necessary. I still have plenty of space to store even more pieces and I still need to check if my watches fit in the compartment underneath; if they do, it will be a 5 stars.

The compartments for bigger pieces of jewelry was nice and spacious, i like how you have more space under the earrings. The space you have when you remove the top is a bit flimsy but still does the job. I think i would’ve appreciated better space for earrings that arent studs and a bit more on the bigger side, but overall just what i was looking for. I do have a preference for stud earrings so this is perfect :) it can be a bit tough to open but i can get used to it

I live everything about this jewelry box. It looks refined, has room for a lot of pieces and is versatile and practical. I loved the sell price as well. The lock works perfectly and if (like me) all that you are going to storage is custom jewelry, it would be perfectly safe. Very happy with my purchase.

Rating more like 3.5 rounded down to 3. I bought this to declutter and make my jewelry organization nicer and more hidden. It looks good out of the box and does the job of holding jewelry. My complaints would be that the necklace storage is nice for travel (I guess) but if you keep the necklaces hanging "displayed" so you can actually see what they are (and not just the chain) then it is very annoying/hard to close the box. In order to close it properly you have to tuck all the necklaces into the pouch. It makes it inconvenient to find a necklace if you are wanting to store it closed (which I did) but not an issue if you want to store it open. The earring holders are removable but probably the cheapest feeling of the whole thing. They are basically like cardboard and do not stay in place well. Overall, it's fine but not amazing and it feels cheaply made. I don't dislike it enough to return it, but I probably won't have it long-term like I was hoping.
