It saved my plants
Were going out of town for 2 weeks and needed to find something that would water our outside plants. I looked around and saw this, read the reviews, and decided to try it. It was easy to set up and we filled the bucket with water and left. When we returned the plants were flourishing in the Texas 100 degree heat. Works Great!

Easy Setup and came back to thriving plants
Upfront I want to say, I used only filtered water during my run using this Blumat system and watering spikes, so I can't speak to whether using nutrients in the reservoir may clog the tubing.. However, I had to leave town abruptly and couldn't get anyone to take care of my plants. I shelled out for this system as opposed to using traditional bulb watering spikes, and after less than 24 hours of calibration I had to depart to come back after 10 days, hoping my downstairs neighbors wouldn't have a leaky roof.. Low and behold the plants were THRIVING when I returned. The consistent delivery may even have been better than the hand feeding I had been doing. Being a gravity fed system, it was much easy to setup than a timed hydroponic system imo. Thanks for reading.

Overpriced
It's a 5 gallon bucket with 2 1/4 inch holes half an inch from the base with their propitiatory 8mm adapter that doesn't fit any thing else, I spent $85 on it and for that price I can buy a cheap drill the drill bits 2 8mm hose adapters and airline tubing, save your money only buy the clay carrots bluemat makes. this isn't it chief

If you don't have tools/time, this works great
It works, it's convenient, but you'll pay a premium for that time saved. I would do it again though, I don't have the tools necessary to make my own.

The pull tab was already pulled off when I received the item and I cannot get it open by any means. I will use a saw to make a hole in the top so I can retrieve the spigot and fill with water. I don't see why it won't work after I set it up.
