I bought these to affix my license plate to the inside of my windshield. So far, so good. Straight forward and simple to use. Unscrew the cap. Place the stem through whatever you are hanging up. Screw the cap back on. These work off suction, not adhesive, which I prefer. Too many "suction" cups come with a layer of super tacky goop. These are just plain old suction cups. They have worked as intended.
