These shoe stretchers are absolutely fantastic. I was honestly at the point where I thought I was going to have to throw out all of my Hey Dudes. They had gotten a bit tight and uncomfortable, but I decided to give these a shot as a last resort. I washed my shoes, popped these HOUNDSBAY stretchers in while they were damp, and let them do their thing. The difference is night and day! My shoes feel great now—the fit is perfect and they are back to being my most comfortable pair. This product saved me tons of money because I no longer have to go out and buy a whole new rotation of shoes for the summer. They are built solid, easy to use, and clearly get the job done. If you have shoes that are just a little too snug, don't toss them—get these stretchers instead! Pros: Fantastic results: Restored the fit of my favorite shoes. I used this for my tap shoes - I have four pair as I tap professionally. This item keeps my shoes perfect for my feet. You cannot dance dance if your shoes are not just right to your feet. Professional tap shoes are made with high quality leather. Now as to the quality of this item? PEERLESS. It is made with beautiful woods and quality metal. As a dancer, I have "dancers feet" and there are metal fittings that you can use for extra stretch for dancers bunions. I purchased one, but really should purchase another, as I shift it back and forth left and right shoe. Everything about this is quality from the box to keep it in to the unit itself. Its made in the USA with obvious care, and worth the price.

This appears to work. Would give it 5 but not sure how well it will hold up. Have used it on golf shoes that were slightly uncomfortable due to my big toe on each foot. I have stretched them a couple of times and felt noticeable difference. Good investment to salvage a nice pair of golf shoes. I used my pliers to tighten when they became tight as it became difficult to adjust by hand. You do need to protect the rear of the shoe to reduce contact from the adjustment knob. It will scuff up your shoes if not addressed.

I have great difficulty finding shoes that fit well and are comfortable due to significant bunions on each foot. While the rest of my foot isn't wide, I do need more room in the forefront of the shoe. I am constantly searching for shoes, buying, and returning, as my accounts on Amazon and other shoe sellers clearly show! I accidently happened upon these shoe stretchers. I purchased them more out of desperation than confidence that they would help. However, I can't say enough about how they have worked for me. They are very easy to use, and come with bunion plugs which allow for a focused stretch. Of course, length, width and instep height can also be stretched. I followed the tip that says to work in small increments in more than one session, but I only had to apply more than one "stretch" to my sneakers. The bunion plugs have worked beautifully, and I am now stretching all the less than comfortable shoes I have had to endure, each one a day at a time. In addition, I used the instep height stretch on one pair of shoes which were rubbing a toe, and got the same great results. For the record, I did not use stretching spray so cannot comment on its use. All in all, this is a quality product which has been life-changing for me and for my feet.

These shoe stretchers are very easy to use and feel well made. The wooden part is sturdy and holds the shoe in shape, while the adjustable knobs let you stretch tight spots where you need it most. They worked great for loosening snug shoes and made them much more comfortable to wear. A really useful tool if you have tight-fitting footwear.

The overall quality is excellent and the performance is good. However, the title states “Spreaders” which indicate multiple spreaders. Since most people wear two shoes, spreaders indicate there are 2 spreaders in the box. Nope, the box only has one spreader (without the “s’). So, the spreader works fine, but cost $50.00 for the one spreader and it requires twice the time to spread both shoes. While the spreader works good, Amazon should considered the title and description complete false labeling.

Soooooo happy with this purchase. I have tried other shoe stretchers with limited success. The others were cheaply built and could not handle the job. This bad boy is built to handle the job. It has saved three pairs of shoes that I thought were too tight. Loving it !

I'm quite happy with this purchase. I had recently bought a pair of leather loafers that are so pretty but because of almost always having swollen feet I have only been able to wear them once because of how tight they were. I got these so I could safely stretch out the leather. I'm not gonna lie, trying to figure out how to get them in place tightly was a bit of a learning curve. Luckily, my husband read the instructions once and was able to show me how to work them. Once you understand it, its quick and painless to get them how you want them. I will suggest that if you're using them on leather, to make sure and put a good mink leather conditioner on first as to not crack your leather. I also love that it has hooked ends so I'm able to hang them on my shoe rack hooks so they are out of the way but still with all of my shoe stuff. My only qualm with them is that on one of the stretchers, the plastic threading was a little bit messed up so I had to work hard to twist it and get the heel part over the bad threading, but once it was past that spot it was very easy to maneuver. I just got them in place and am going to leave them for a few days, adding conditioner to the leather each day then widening it out a little more everyday. If I don't add an update its cause it worked and it stretched them out as desired. If this works, next I'll try it on a pair of patent synthetic platforms. For those, I will more than likely use gentle heat from my hairdryer to help with the stretching. Overall, this is a great purchase and it seems like they will last forever if I wanted them to.

This shoe stretcher is excellent! I've been using it on all my shoes that feels a bit snug, and it opens up the toe area, making all the shoes that much more comfortable. Easy to use, works very well! Great quality.

Great item. Does exactly what it’s supposed to do

I used it for Stretching the baby toe and the big toe area on leather shoes. Worked well and the product is very well made and solid. Doesn’t work quite so well on ankle boots as is somewhat difficult to get the stretcher in place. If ankle boots have a double zipper, should work. I ordered one and then ordered a second one so I could do both shoes at once. I left the stretcher in for about two weeks. I have done leather golf shoes, regular leather shoes and now an ankle boot
