Minisopuru DS802 iMac Docking Station for 24 inch iMac M1/M3/M4/M5, Blue

I was a bit weary of this product because the price point seemed quite high! “BUT” price point was well worth it. Build quality was much better than I was expecting its built very nice 👍 the color match was perfect and it fits like a glove, engendered very well. I was scared the color would be slightly off but you would think it came with the computer it’s that good. And plug and play no sill downloads the computer accepts it first time. Connectivity no problems I plugged the keyboard in to give it a charge was very stable didn’t get hot just did the job so for stability can’t complain. So the comparability is second to none which was my main concern and the color is spot on what more can I ask for so it deserves five stars In my eyes.

I recently purchased a new iMac. I knew I would want/need additional (external) storage so why not kill two birds with one stone and have extra ports as well. Aesthetically it matches my green iMac 100% and fits perfectly. It looks like it is actually part of the iMac. I added a 2Tb Samsung NVMe drive. The iMac disk utility detected it right away. I also had a 1Tb SATA hard drive in an (unpowered) external enclosure I thought might make a good time machine/archive drive. I plugged it directly into the iMac's USB C and... nothing. I then plugged it into the iMac's Thunderbolt port. Again... nothing. Huh? Even though I knew the USB hub ports were not powered I thought I'd at least give it a try. I plugged it into one of the USB hub's USB 3.2 ports and Voila! There it was! I'm not sure why the iMac disk utility could not detect the external SSD when plugged into a 'native' port or how the USB hub is 'tricking' the iMac to detect external drives but I'm not complaining. Well, except for the iMac itself (Ventura?) not being able to detect external drives via its own ports Finally, after following Minisopuru's directions to turn off any/all energy saving 'automatic drive sleep' functions I've had zero problems others have reported of their drives dropping connection (see video in Customer questions & answers) All in all this USB hub is the cat's meow. If you have a new iMac this is the accessory that Apple forgot and you need.

I ordered this USB hub because it's very stylish and I need to be able to read SD cards on my new iMac. The hub is a perfect fit with the iMac base and I love that it also supports an SSD card that I'm using as a Time Machine backup device. Minisopuru customer support was very responsive in helping me with a problem I had with the SSD card and after trying what they suggested, they immediately offered to send me a replacement hub. The replacement hub is working beautifully and I'm now delighted with the product and the excellent customer service which I received.

I have had it hooked up for a few weeks now and had no issues. Also, the SSD slot is Sata compatible, which I needed and most are not. Very satisfied

This really cleaned up the bottom of my IMac. Has all the plugs I need and I am not staring at all the plugs since they are on the side. It fit perfect on the bottom of my IMac and made it easy to pug in all my cables or use SD Card.

A brilliant solution for something Apple should have done or made available in the first place. Engineering design is well thought out and elegant. It looks like it belongs to the machine. High quality materials use throughout and the blue tint to the aluminum perfectly matches Apple's tint on the 24 inch M1 desktop. I like the fact that you don't have another peripheral cluttering up the desktop. Functionally well executed. I ordered it with a Samsung 1Tb SSD and installation was very easy and data transfer via the USB-C interface is very fast. have had no hiccups when booting the system, like I have had with my older 15-inch MacBook Pro when using high capacity flash drives via the USB 3.1 ports. It's rare that a product exceeds your expectations for delivering on the promise. This one does, and I highly recommend it to anyone with the need for expansion ports and increased storage on their iMac 24-inch machine.

this is a great base/USB hub for my new iMac. The color matches nicely and fits seamlessly that looks like part of the computer. Works great to plug in a mouse and other items.

Es muy útil tener un hub pero, para el precio, está muy deficiénte con USB 2.0 y al pareser no identifica la marca del SSD que le instalé con limitante a 1T de tamaño. Es útil y cómodo tenerlo bajo la computadora pero no confiaría en transferencias rápidas y mucho menos usar el USB C para display extra

Now I’m guessing you bought a make because you want things to just work, well this is that. Plug and play. With nvme, usb and usb c and sd slot. Run for space, no worries it sits under the bace of the iMac cleanly, though on an important note definitely double check the extra hight and account that extra needed clearance for where you place it. 8/10

Very nice aesthetically; on a functional level, it props up the iMac. So form and function are excellent!
