So I bought this oil to mix with helichrysum essential oil and hazlenut oil as part of a scar treatment for a recent surgical scar. I am using that mix regularly and the jury is still out on that. BUT, I got to reading about rosehip seed oil and that Miranda Kerr uses it on her face, that it has properties similar to Retin A, that it is a dry oil and can even help with acne. Well of course I was skeptical because it is an oil people! Everyone knows oils break out your skin....or so I thought! I have very acne prone skin (used accutane in my teen years....it was that bad) and this stuff applied thinly on my face has done wonders! My adult acne (admittedly minor at this point in my life) cleared up, my fine lines are smoother, and my complexion just looks softer and more radiant than it has in a long time! And I have been using it for a week and it hasn't broken me out! I also started adding a smidge of the Young Living Gentle Baby essential oil blend (also good on scars and wrinkles they say) and I have noticed even more line reduction in the last 24 hours of using it. I just can't stress enough how much these two products have changed my face in a week. If I didn't see it myself, I wouldn't believe it. This oil is an amber/orange color out of the bottle and has a kind of botanical smell. It is light and doesn't bother me. It absorbs into the skin very quickly and doesn't leave a residue as long as you don't use too much. The Gentle Baby does leave a tiny bit of an oilier feel on my face, but so far no breakouts with that so time will tell. I like how the vitamin e that is used to preserve this product is the safe d-alpha and not the petroleum one that is bad for you. Other than that, you are getting pure organic rosehip seed oil. I will definitely buy again and will recommend to others as well. I can't wait to see what changes happen to my skin after a month or two of use!

I have been using rosehip seed oil for over a year now. I have very sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin. My skin was both very oily and very dehydrated and suffered from dry patches. This oil has definitely helped balance my skin so that it is not so oily anymore, while also taking care of the dry patches. I have also noticed an improvement in my skin texture and a reduction in my acne (though it is not magically gone). I use this oil in tandem with my other skincare products (hydrating toner and lotion) by mixing the 4-5 drops of it into my lotion. Remember to always use a good amount of sunscreen if you're going to go outside after using this product. I have never experienced any sort of breakout or sensitivity from this product. It is honey-colored and doesn't have a strong smell. I remember thinking it smelled a bit earthy when I first started using it, but I honestly don't smell it anymore. I can't recommend this oil strongly enough to anyone - from people with dry skin to people with oily skin. It sinks in well enough for oily skin and is not super heavy, but it is also moisturizing enough that I think people with dry skin would benefit from it.

This oil is nothing short of PHENOMENAL! An absolute gem in my anti-aging routine. I discovered it about a year or two ago and I've been in love ever since. I mix 5 drops in my night moisturizer (sometimes in the day too) and I wake up to dewy, glowy, soft, bouncy skin. If you put on some vitamin c serum first and then lotion + this oil on top, your face will be ***chef's kiss*** in the morning! Im a doubting Thomas so when this arrived not even I could have predicted how incredibly (not beliveable) well rosehip oil seeped into my facial skin as if itd been missing from it all of my life. Its was nearly instantaneously that this worked magic. The product itself has an offputting odor to it (I am an RN, & so have a tough sniffer/ can take odors); one of my perricone products has omega 3s and peptides which just wreek of fish oil and I tolerated it bc I thought it was doing mind blowing things for my facial skin (wrong!). I immediately knew to just add some of my lavender oil to it to mitigate the smell and...boop! no more odd odor. As its my first foray into rosehip oil, I ordered only an ounce bc four or five drops is all thats needed for a good slathering. I cannot recommend buying anything lrgr than an ounce as so little goes such a long way and, as all oils do, will get rancid after approx. 16 -18 months regardless of how it is stored. Yes, its a “wet oil” and yes, im floored that my skin soaked it up so rapidly. No, there were no traces of oil residue on my pillow cases or on my top; i left a star off for the odor but I quickly rectified that. (Dont know if most have tthe same smell, so I need to be fair.) It has a very low comedogenicity rating so no sensitivity nor comedome eruptions. Overall, rosehip oil is 5/5 starts as an instantaneous remedy for quenched but still dry, wintertime facial skin (vs. dehydrated skin). At a few bucks, this stuff BURIES ANY $$ moisturizer!!! GO for it & happy touching your skin to believe how well it works! :-)

This product is just amazing! I was suffering from a bad bout of hormonal acne for past few months. Even though the pimples have subsided, it left really bad acne marks. To diminish the scars I have done chemical peeling which did reduce the scars but not significantly. Also ended up having uneven skin tone with a lot of dry patches to the point that all the foundations looked cakey on my face. I decided to go all natural after the horrible side effects of chemical peeling on my skin and decided to try out this product as I have heard rave reviews, after all it was just 5$. I must say, I could see a visible difference on the first day of application itself on my dry patches. Regarding its effect on the dark spots, it has reduced it quite well after just 2weeks of application, something that I never expected from a product which has no loaded chemicals in it. I can apply my foundation again, without it looking cakey on my face. Regarding the method of application, I take about 2-3 drops , rub it between my hands to warm it a bit and then dab it all over my face. I take a drop of it again and apply it around my eyes as well and apply the excess on my lips. It's good for reducing dark circles as well and I get no more of ugly looking chapped lips. A thing to note is that, a few won't like the feeling of oil on their face, but fret not u will get used to the feeling of it, and as it is not super heavy it gets absorbed fast as well. It has a light scent to it, but nothing over powering. I tried mixing it with my moisturizer and the effects werent any different. Truly my holy Grail skin care item.

Finally, a skin moisturizer I can use! No oils will soak into my skin, but this one will. Not entirely, but mostly! I have heard rosehip seed oil contains acids that can make skin appear younger. I am starting to see those benefits. I have acne, fine lines, and very oily skin mixed with seriously dry patches. I mix this with aloe gel, tea tree & carrot seed essential oils, and apply it to my whole body + face as the perfect moisturizer. It's extra great as a body moisturizer, because I have generalized hyperhidrosis and cannot handle most heavy greasy lotions. When my face starts getting too oily, I dip a foundation brush into bentonite or kaolin white clay, and gently touch up those oil prone areas. My face feels clean after doing this, not cakey like it would using foundation to the same effect. I find this product absorbs best after pure clay face masks (green clay + water). I wash my face with Dr. Bronner's lavender or plain soap. The final thing that really helps my fine lines, acne, and keratosis pilaris is pure lactic acid (also available on Amazon) diluted with water and spritzed onto skin before applying this oil. Will purchase again.

I was not expecting miracles from this product. I was just expecting this oil to moisturize my face and leave it soft. Instead, it gives me clogged pores. I get pimples all over my cheeks when i use this product. I started using Argon oil, Rosehip Seed Oil, coconut oil at the same time about a year back. And I started getting tinny tinny pimples on my cheeks. Then I realized on of this oil is cause this pimple or maybe makeup. Then I started just using Argon oil ONLY and my skin became normal. A month back, I started mixing the Rosehip Seed Oil with my Argon oil again to see it Rosehip seed oil was causing the pimples. And I currently my both cheeks have uncountable tiny pimples. I stop using the Rosehip seed oil. I have very dry skin, and I don't get any pimples (Maybe once or twice a year, I will get 1 to 2 big pimple(s) to take out the bad stuff from my face). I am in my late 20. So of course it's not related to "hormone". it's been about a week I stopped using the Rosehip seed oil. Hope my skin will get back to normal soon.

Rosehip oil is my go-to product for skin blemishes, acne and redness. I mix a few drops into my moisturiser before bed and it works like a charm. This particular oil is reasonable value and quality; and was delivered in good time.
