desertcart.com : Lunar Tides Semi-Permanent Hair Color (43 colors) (Iris Purple) : Beauty & Personal Care Review: Great lasting semi permanent red - Thai has been by far the best and lastest longing Mei permanent red I've used and I've about tried all the trendy and popular brands and even a few off ones. This color starts out pretty dark almost a blood aurburn but after 2 washes it's a deep cranberry red and as it fades becomes a blood red. It's so pretty at each stage of the washing and is fading and I really recommend for anyone who wants a deep red burgundy color. It does stain your hands and your pillow, and please do yourself a favor and wash in the sink the first few times with gloves because it will stay on your hands fora few days. Also if you sweat it can leave a little stain on the side of the face but if you use a little conditioner around those areas it helps a lot and does come off after a little scrubbing. Review: Not bad, no issues at least the first time - I think it’s pretty good for the price. I didn’t have any taking issues when I first dyed it a few months ago. Bleached my hair to about an 8, toned, then used the dye and it seemed extremely pigmented and very bright. Not darker like the picture though, was giving more Hatsune Miku than what the picture showed. Could have been the bleach and toner used beforehand maybe. It’s grown on me and may redo a few more times. Stains pretty bad but nothing I haven’t seen before with other brands. I did try and touch up my roots no bleaching first recently, and it didn’t take much at all. Will try one more time with the new batch I got. If it doesn’t work will just go to another brand. The color though, pretty, getting compliments on it. It really is vibrant even though it’s faded some. Feels like it has some decent staying power. Edit: This is a month or two after my review. The roots took this time. I left it on way longer and also hit it with some heat. Redid all of it in fact. If I don’t wash it much it stays much longer. Usually I’d wash it 3 -4 times a week but now I’m washing it maybe once or twice and it’s still so vibrant. Makes me wonder if the previous batch was old or something. The newer one arrived in a new package also. I’m changing it to 5 stars. Also if you’re a thick haired girl just get and use 2 or 3 at a time trust. <3

STAYS IN YOUR HAIR
Highly pigmented, smells super nice. Perfect true dark purple shade looks just likes it's advertised. The BEST smelling hair dye in my opinion and stayed in my hair for 4 weeks while washing and bathing with HOT water. Hard to get out of hair.

Some Absolute Hits, One Total Miss — My Honest Take on 5 Lunar Tides Shades
I’m always trying different semi-permanent hair colors because apparently I enjoy turning my bathroom into a low-budget chemistry lab. Lunar Tides had been on my radar for a while, mostly because their color range is fun and a little less boring than the usual options. I ended up trying five shades: Coral Pink, Lychee Pink, Nightshade, Neon Guava, and Magic Salem. Overall, I’d give the brand 4 stars because when they get it right, they really get it right. But one of these shades absolutely did not understand the assignment. First, the stars of the group: Coral Pink, Lychee Pink, and Neon Guava. All three of these were 5-star shades for me. They looked vibrant, held up well, and didn’t fade into anything ugly or sad. When they did start to fade, they turned into soft pastel versions of themselves, which I actually loved. That’s the dream with colorful hair dye. Nobody wants to spend all that time coloring their hair just for it to fade into “mystery swamp water.” Out of those three, Neon Guava was probably my favorite. It’s such a fun, juicy orange-pink shade that somehow manages to look both bright and wearable. It’s one of those colors that just makes you happy to look at. That said, with Coral Pink, Lychee Pink, and Neon Guava, I really think your hair needs to be lifted to a very light icy blonde if you want the color to show up the way it does in the jar or swatches. The first time I tried them over a more golden blonde, the result was a little muddier than I wanted. Not terrible, but definitely not the clean bright tone I was hoping for. Next up: Nightshade (which is now called Dark Purple). I’d give this one 4 stars. It’s a gorgeous, rich eggplant purple when your hair is light enough, and it looks really striking when it first goes on. Again though, this shade also works best on very light blonde hair if you want that deep, saturated purple effect. On golden blonde or darker hair, it still looks nice, but it comes out more muted and less rich. My only real issue with this one is the fade. Instead of fading into a softer purple, mine started pulling more blue over time, which wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t my favorite fade path either. And then we have Magic Salem. Whew. This one gets 1 star from me, and honestly I wanted to love it the most. The concept sounds amazing. A black-to-violet kind of tone with little bits of mica shimmer? On paper, that should have been the cool mysterious goth dream shade. In reality, no matter how light I got my hair, it kept turning into this muddy mauve-purple that never looked the way I wanted. And instead of fading nicely, it faded fast into a dusty, washed-out purple within just 1–2 washes. To make things worse, it was somehow also the hardest one to remove, which feels a little rude considering how bad it looked once it started fading. So overall, Lunar Tides is a bit of a mixed bag, but the good shades are genuinely really good. At around $13 per 4 oz jar, I think the value is decent, especially since some of these colors performed better than pricier options I’ve tried. My ranking would be: Neon Guava – favorite Coral Pink – excellent Lychee Pink – excellent Nightshade/Dark Purple – beautiful, but fades bluer than I’d like Magic Salem – absolutely not, straight to jail If you’re looking at Lunar Tides, I’d absolutely recommend some of their brighter pink and coral tones. Just make sure your hair is light enough first, because these colors really do look best on a pale blonde base.

Oh this is going to be controversial, sorry IA
Alright so, I am a quick shopper even online, I’ll check reviews and pictures and maybe check out a YouTube video to see a better view of the color. I however didn’t notice it was vegan, I tend to avoid vegan products because simply I have not found any that meet my expectations for what I need or expect. I understand if it’s a lifestyle/ethical choice, more power to you, live your truth: but me personally, this brand now added to the list along with arctic fox are thumbs down for me. Arctic fox bleeds non stop everywhere, seems to permanently dye anything but your hair, and washes out in about 3 washes. Now with this product Pros: -it did not stain my skin, that was cool -it’s pretty thick so I did not make any kind of mess apply it, again cool -if you want like a fun little change for about a week, this is perfect because it washes out quick. -it didn’t bleed onto my clothes or bedding, or skin when washing my hair But that’s where the pros end Cons: - I couldn’t grip the seal so I used a safety pin to help me get an end up, some of the product came out on the safety pin and I saw even though it was thick, for hair color it’s fairly translucent. Red flag if you are experienced in regularly dying your hair 😩 if you want a lighter version or very temporary color it would be ideal, but for vibrance and hang time NOPE. -just when I rinsed it out, COLD WATER, and used no shampoo I could tell it was going to wash out quick, and I was right, it lasted about 3 washes total, pretty much gone after the 2nd wash honestly. My hair is not over processed or anything that would contribute to loss of color at that rate. I even use baby shampoo since it’s no harsh chemicals and honestly has helped preserve my colors better than any “color saving” products on the market. Another thing I didn’t favor was it didn’t stick to my freshly bleached roots. Again experienced hair artists know that usually will be the brightest spot, as well as bleaching helping seal color in if you do it correctly in a time period. So PRETTY MUCH if you want something temporary, or you’re wanting to test drive a color but not ready to commit; this is perfect. However if you’re looking for something that is long lasting, this is not it. May be a basic bih but I’ve been doing this for 17 years and have tried dozens of dye products and ion color brilliance I personally don’t feel can be beat. Extremely vibrant color, very minimal bleeding/transfer after coloring and even that just depends on the color, you may not get any bleeding or transfer at all. It also lasts a long time, as well as fades evenly so you won’t have splotchy hair as it fades, you’ll just go through lighter shades of Itself.

A good option for healthy hair.
I love this product because it stands out for its intense, modern colors—ideal for anyone looking for a striking look. Its vegan formula, free from harsh chemicals, cares for the hair, leaving it soft and shiny. Furthermore, the color lasts for several weeks and fades gradually, making it an excellent option for changing up your style without...

SO excited for this color!
I don't often leave reviews honestly, but after getting this & using it, I had to. I have never been so excited to put a color in my hair as I was when I opened this up & saw how beautiful the color was. It is absolutely beautiful & exactly the color I was looking for. I have yet to wash my hair since applying it, it I will give an update on how the color lasts once I have. I will definitely be getting this again & will look into their purples for the other part of hair if this one washes well.

It Stains but it is a Nice Color
Love the color! It did not dye my natural brown hair but the dye did work for the lower part of my hair that had been previously bleached and had dyed a pink shade that was fading (different product). I used gloves to put the dye on, which had a nice smell to it. I left it in for an hour before doing a rinse. That is when the fun started. Tub is purple. Hands are purple. Neck, ears, parts of my back, and bottom of my feet all turned purple. I used toothpaste to get it off of my hands. I allowed my hair to dry before going to bed. Woke up to a stained shirt, and dye on my ears. Seems it bled while I was sleeping. Washed that off my skin, and I went to wash my shirt but it stained it. Thankfully it was an old shirt! My brush is also covered in purple dye. I currently have my hair up so it won't stain me. How long until I can touch my hair? I can't even show it off and get a good look at it until I can actually brush and touch it without getting dye everywhere. Three stars for now. Lets see how long this color lasts, then I might change the rating. Just super annoying having the dye stain everything it touches. Update: The company reached out to me via FB comments. They told me to use a color sealer and that should stop the dye from staining. Great news, it worked! So I am adding another star to my review. The color is vibrant, my hair is soft. The staining was a annoying since I couldn't get a color sealer for a week after the dye process. But now that I know, I might stick with this brand. The color has not faded yet.
