While my vision is fairly good for my 81-year old eyes and have had cataract surgery with implants, I have found that It is difficult to read very small print, especially if the ink is not a dark black. I have trouble reading things like my Bible and church hymnal. I chose to buy this 5X large LED page magnifier so that no matter what I need to read, it will service my needs well. It is extremely lightweight, weighing less than my cell phone, about 139 grams or less than 5 ounces. I will keep this one in my Bible tote. There are three degrees of light. Even the lowest one would work in a dark room. Highly recommend.

Great tool to read fine print and small print and reduce eye strain. I love the 3 different light modes which help make reading easier on the eyes.

It works pretty good but if I pull it too far from my book The words get kind of blurry but otherwise it's good . I enjoy using it to read my books.

Even with glasses, I've never had great vision. I like to read at night and this magnifier with 3 different light settings is perfect. Priced right, and I'm so glad I purchased it. Lightweight and magnifies perfectly with its fresnel lense. I would purchase again.

Really like how it magnifies as well as lights up the page so that I can see what I am reading without having to put on cheaters

3 Stars because the product itself CAN work. The product needs batteries, but is light weight and has 3 different light settings/colors. If you needed something nearby to use just real quick, this isnt a bad option at all. HOWEVER. I got this for my old lady mother who is trying to get back into reading regularly, but has issues with being able to see fine print and lighting issues. The way this was advertised as being able to comfortably be held WITH the book was what I was hoping for, but when we opened it up and tried it, it's something you HAVE to hold away from the thing you're trying to see for it to magnify. I have no idea who would want something you have to hold away (when you can just buy a magnifying glass), but.... them's the deets.

The Magnipros magnifier does exactly what we wanted it to do. It allows us to read rather small print books very easily. The multiple light selections help find tune the process. It might be more challenging with smaller paperbacks, but for trade paperbacks and hardback books it’s great. It also helps read tiny print on instruction sheets that are often virtually impossible to read.

I really wanted to like this magnifier with 3 light feature. Technically it does increase the text and provides light to see it clearer. However there are a number of issues: 1. The battery cover does not securely stay latched closed. The slightest touch it’ll fall off. Since you have to hold the magnifier on the end above the page, it’s in the same areas as the battery cover. So I have to constantly make sure my hand doesn’t touch it. But even it you put it down and it gets shifted the cover will come off. 2. The light doesn’t work well. Sometimes the first light which is the brightest turns off on its own. Other times it rapidly flickered and just turned off. 3. I never know when or if the light will work. Sometimes it just doesn’t come on at all. I’ve changed batteries to troubleshoot, but the issue is internal within the wiring. Sometimes I will not use it for a day or so in hopes that it will start working again, and that seems to work. Conclusion: So should I surmise that light feature in this magnifier isn’t suitable for daily use? And when I do use it, it’s for less than 2 hours in a given day. And these issues started after the 2nd day of using it. Return Problem: I like the idea of it so I tried to return it to exchange it for another one in hopes that maybe I receive one that missed the quality control check or maybe the package was dropped during shipping. But I got a notice while filling out the return exchange option that the magnifier could not be exchanged.

This magnifier is literally live saver for students with tired eyes. I am a mother and I study mostly evening, so without this helper I would not see anything. However the stand would be really good. Like this I feel I don’t have enough hands to move pages and same time hold the magnifier and do the notes. After they make version with stand it gonna be master piece.

I looked for a product like this for over a week. I am a Photographer and wanted a 4 x Magnifier to look at my 8.5" x 5.5" printer proofs before printing very large and expensive prints avoiding mistakes and costly ink and expensive paper waste. The picture in my review shows me looking at one of my printer proof and with the lights everything is clear and in focus. In the picture only the first lights are on but you can push the button again to increase. One of my best ever Amazon finds. My wife wants me to order a second one.
