Why can't you sleep with it?

It will give you a stiff neck, short naps are ok

What is the Circumference in the narrowest part?

I have no idea. It was hard as a rock and too large at the narrowest part. I returned it and would not recommend it.

How thick is it in the middle? Many pillow rolls are about 4 inches thick but looking for something a little thinner?
