Does the Job
Seems decent. Firstly, this is identical to the more expensive version, “wolf boy” or something similar, also available on Amazon but for double the price. The kits are identical even down to the instructions. Save your money. I bought this to repair the caliper slide pin threads on a hub from a VAG group car, is this might apply to anyone with a VW/Audi or Skoda. The threads had stripped out the hub. The kit was good to use. The drill bit was sharp and the right size. The tap was the right size and seemed to get through the hub fine. The only complaint is there’s no tap wrench so I had to invent something from a socket set. But it worked. Helicoil went in and tab snapped nicely. Just waiting on a new bolt and hopefully all will be well! First time in my mechanic-ing experience I’ve had to use one and would highly recommend a set in anyone’s garage for a “Just in case.” This set is specific for M9 as most sets don’t have M9 in them.

Got me out of a situation...
Great bit of kit for the price.. Used to tap and repaire a 5mm thread on a vintage motorcyle oil injection cover. I have never needed to Helicoil prior to using this kit and was very aprehensive abour drilling into the engine case, however with correct preporation the job was sorted and over in minutes offering an excellent repaire. I had no problem with the size of drill supplied in the kit as some reviewers have mentioned, the inserts fitted perfectly and the results were brilliant! I would suggest buying a tap handle or tool (as I did) undless you alreadt own one as this is not included in the set. Worth every penny!

Not bad
Does the job , but don’t use the drill that comes with it. In my opinion is to large and will not give you the tread you need . Hence only 4 stars

Worked brilliantly
Got me out a massive jam when I had an oil leak on my motorbike, worked amazingly and was easy to use for the mechanically minded, made the bolt sturdy as anything afterwards.

Saved me £350
This saved me £350 Needed to do a brake fluid change on my BMW M2. Everything went as planned until one of the bleed nipples that must have been previously cross threaded failed to re-seal and ultimately stripped the thread in the very expensive aluminium caliper. I was quoted £100 to do exactly what I’ve done myself today using this kit and I would be without the caliper and my car for up to 2 weeks. Used hand drill with drill provided, tapped the hole, fitted the helicoil and inserted the bleed nipple. I have to say I surprised myself as really wasn’t expecting this to work but it has. The hardest part was inserting the helicoil, took several attempts before I got it to bite, but once in, it screwed down nicely. Had to cut off the excess as too long for the hole. A second hand caliper is at least £350 or send it away and be without a car for two weeks. So yes, I am very pleased with myself for completing the repair.
