This is my favourite collagen for running, it’s completely pure with no additives which you can tell by the taste and how easily it mixes. Amazing for recovery and preventing injuries, pretty much a must if you’re into long distance running and do it regularly!

After arriving I was eager to try this but I quickly realised it’s 2x5mg servings a day so only 10 days worth. The ingredients list on the packaging also don’t add up to 5000mg of collagen peptides a serving or even a day on the packaging! It’s 840mg a serving…but on the website it states other amino acids totalling 5000mg. Very confusing. Slight fishy taste after leaving for 5 minutes but this is the case with every fish based collagen supplement I’ve had. There are other similar 5000mg collagen supplements on the market for a lower price also.

Really like the taste of this collagen powder, I actually miss it when it’s not in my tea. It’s quite expensive but I try to ignore this and get it any way as I think it does indeed help me run easy without nasty ingredients that undermine the goodness.

Collagen powders are a great addition to any diet but this collagen powder is exceptionally good for people who enjoy working out, especially running. This was recommended to me by a runner friend when I showed interest in running (especially after I mentioned some of the downsides to running - weak knees after exercises). He mentioned how it helps with recovery, and I must say, he was right!

I’m a fan of the protein rebel maple ignite gels and when I was looking for a collagen supplement for runners I decided to try this one as it’s a company I trust. The claim that it is tasteless for me is not true, I find it to have quite a noticeable fishy smell and taste. I have downed my glass of squash as quick as I can manage because to me it is quite unpleasant. I’m going to stick with it and try it with other drinks but for me, it isn’t nice at all! I’m hoping to see some results to make up for the taste! 3 stars purely on taste, I can’t comment on physical results.

I couldn’t say whether his does actually improve my ability to run pain free, nothing can do that! I started to take Protein Rebel Run Easy as I’d heard about it on a couple of running podcasts and some elite and endurance runners swear by it. What I can say is that when I stopped using it for about 12 weeks due to injury and illness, then I noticed it as my nails were getting weak and lifting from my nail beds. So that was enough to convince me that it certainly does something.

Be aware that although it says 20 servings, this is not going to last you 20 days (as I assumed) as you need to take 2 servings a day, so it's only going to last 10 days. It does say this in the listing somewhere towards the end but I must've missed it. I am going to take it to see how effective it is but I might have to switch to a cheaper brand as it's expensive for just 10 days.

I have been using collagen products for some years. I've tried many different types on the market at varying prices. There's good ones and there's not so good ones I have to say that this collagen powder although 100% type 1 collagen is not what I would call reasonably priced. It's only a 100g tin for £13.99 That's nearly twice the price per 100g of other brands available. There's only 20 servings in a tin which is just under 3 weeks worth The texture is a little grainy and doesn't mix well. I had to mix this into a paste first and gradually add more fluid to get the best mix. There's a slight fish taste but nothing to worry about its very faint and doesn't linger you may not even notice it. Unfortunately there's not much I can describe about this product. It's not exceptional it's a basic type 1 collagen at a slightly high price. If the price was nearer 8 to 9 pounds it would be around it's correct pricing mark. This review is solely my own personal opinion from my own experience of testing this collagen. Others may have a different opinion please don't just base your decision solely on my opinion but make sure to check the other reviews.
