Excellent, no frills tray, with lovely golden rocks for my juniper bonsai
Lovely, modest tray and golden stones to humidify my lovely juniper bonsai. Good value tray and stones. There were plenty of stones, so I filled this tray + another smaller one, too. I like the golden/white nature of the stones . . tumbled to excellent size ratio for the bonsai to feel comfortable with them. Nice pricing and excellent delivery time. Thank you, Brussel's Bonsai for this unifying under-plate. Maybe suggest the tray to go with the tree when I ordered it to be included in the tree delivery. BTW, the juniper tree arrived in excellent, happy condition. Ready to be adopted into my life. Brussel's Bonsai brought my wishes together.

Works great! Here are some instructions...
I have no idea why people complain about this item. The rocks fill the tray perfectly, and it will clearly accomplish its purpose. As for instructions, I am not a technical writer but here goes: 1. Please read all instructions prior to proceeding. 2. Using a razor knife or scissor, cut plastic wrapping and remove tray. Try to accomplish this step without cutting a hole in the plastic bag that contains the rocks. If you do happen to cut a hole in the rock bag, gravity will take over and the rocks, being heavier than air, will fall out. Depending on the surface the rocks will fall onto, they may bounce and scatter all over the place. If the surface the rocks falls onto is soft, the rocks will generally stay close to the initial place they fell. If the rocks fall onto the floor, be careful not to step on them as this can be a painful experience. If the rocks happen to fall into the tray, merely leave them as this is where they will live anyway for the foreseeable future. Any otherwise scattered rocks should be recovered and placed in the tray. 3. Assuming the rock bag is intact, utilizing the same cutting tool carefully cut a slit into the top of the rock bag. Note the rock bag is not labeled with a top or bottom so in this case the top is the side facing towards the sky. 4. Carefully pour the rocks and spread them out so that they cover the bottom of the entirety of the tray. 5. Place plant, pot and all, on top of rocks. 6. It should be noted here that the tray assembly will not, in most cases, generate its own humidity. Hence, the plant will still require watering. I hope this helps!

Great tray to keep your bonsai tree hydrated without creating a mess
I recently bought my girlfriend a bonsai tree as a gift. Since the tree will kept in side I wanted to find an attractive way to keep things nice and neat and prevent water and dirt from going everywhere. This tray and rocks is the perfect item. The tree and rectangular pot fit in the tray perfectly and now the tree can be watered without worrying about excess water going everywhere. The tray arrives in a plastic bag along with a packet of rocks attached. Super easy setup... just sit the tray where you want it, pour the rocks into the tray, smooth them out to make a nice even surface, and then sit your bonsai pot right on top. The tray is not extremely deep but as a humidity and drip tray it seems to be a good depth to both catch the excess water and also keep some water hidden in the rocks. You could always put the pot directly into the tray and then place the rocks around the pot if you want the water to actually be able to get sucked up by the pot. I think either way works fine. All in all this is a nice finishing piece for your bonsai that makes your tree look better while at the same time being functional.

Good price for a great trip tray with rocks
I was shocked at the price of a humidity tray when I purchased a bonsai tree for my husband from an online retailer. They wanted $7-$8 for a tray with no rocks. I thought there must be something special about their tray to make it so expensive. When it came I was very disappointed --there was nothing special about it, just a plain black plastic tray. So I checked Amazon and found this tray with rocks for a much more reasonable price. I use this tray not only for our bonsai trees. It is great as a drip tray for smaller nursery size pots of rooting succulent cuttings. It safely holds six to eight small pots and the rocks prevent them sitting in water which would cause root rot. For bonsai the tray with rocks is supposed to be kept wet to increase the humidity around the bonsai plant to keep it from getting too dry. I will definitely be getting more of these trays.

Flimsy
It’s nice for an area where you won’t be moving it much. It’s so flimsy if you choose to get it don’t pick it up with your plant it will break. I just leave it on the tray and move the tree by it self.

this is a plain black PLASTIC dish holding white pepples. the pebbles are NOT decorative! this dish is plain plastic...something you could get from a take out order of food. NOT HAPPY AT ALL
