Is the medium 7/8 closer to a size 7-8 or normal medium (10/12)? 7/8 is normally considered a small.

My son is a 6-7 normally. I bought him the M (7-8) which is true to size. A 10-12 is usually a L or XL depends on brand.

Is this a pale yellow or bright yellow?

This was pale yellow. I don't have a picture as it was a gift.

My son is 5.5 years, 35 lbs, but i’m hoping the shirt will still fit for the next year. worried he would drown in m but not sure says 6-9. what size?

I found this shirt to be true to size. Hope that helps.
