This WORKS!
Yes, this will kill gophers, but their friends will wall off tunnels where gophers have died, only to move in a new direction to tear up another area of your yard. You need a poison to kill where you see gopher mounds AND Repellex! It repells gophers and moles. They run in the other direction. You spread the granules on the grass, water to soak in and the gophers run. They hate the smell/taste. I had 27 gopher holes in my yard! I was out there dropping bait to kill gophers almost daily. Ugh. Now, Repellex does the work for me without any mounds in my yard. If one gets through, I'll use Moletox to kill it, but my new normal is no more gopher holes because Repellex is keeping them away! (I'm a real customer and I was not paid a penny for this review.)

Didn't work on moles in SC
Treated the same mole tunnel 4 times and the moles just ignored it, they just pushed it out of the way like it was dirt, maybe it works on gophers but it was a waste of time for the moles in my South Carolina yard.

Been buying this for a while. It works, ...
Been buying this for a while. It works, however, the go[hers simply move further into the yard. Since we have an acre, I think I will try more "home" remedies. I continue to use it closer to my home.

This Really Works
We live on two acres next to a golf course. I have trapped several gophers but every now and then I come across one that keeps avoiding the trap. This happened about a month ago so I tried putting some Moletox in the gopher tunnel and gopher mounds quit showing up. I wasn't sure if the gopher died or just moved to a different area. Another too smart to be trapped gopher showed up last week so I opened up the tunnel by the gopher mound, put some Moletox back in the tunnel as far as I could with a small hand shovel and then just to be sure I set the trap a little closer to the opening than the Moletox. Two days later the gopher hadn't filled the hole in so I decided to dig further back down the tunnel. In the process I uncovered a dead gopher. I'm impressed, this stuff works and it is easer than setting a trap!

Haven't seen any gopher activity in 3 weeks after application.
Since I don't get to actually see the gopher eating the bait, nor do I see a dead gopher, I didn't rated it 5 stars. This is what I did and know. After trying different traps, repellents, noise solar stake and even took a shot at it with a pellet gun (at which the activity resume after 6 days) nothing worked. I bought this as a last resort before calling a professional. I used a stick about 1/2x1/2"x5' and tapered the tip (not sharp) just enough to penetrate the ground, Where ever I felt soft ground under my feet, I use the stick to see if its a tunnel. If you have mounds (I removed the mounds daily to monitor activity and not kill the grass that got buried,) try between mounds. If your stick drops suddenly around 2" after penetrating the top soil, you hit a tunnel. As desperate as I was, whether active or inactive, I poured a teaspoon of the Moletox through the hole made by the stick. I did the same for the next two days. The activity stopped on the fourth day and had been for more than 3 weeks as of this review. If you read as much as I did on gopher (pocket,) you'll read that they won't eat bait because they taste first prior to eating, they gather food in their pocket (their cheeks thus the name pocket gopher) and put it in their food storage and lastly, poison takes 4 to 5 days to take effect and steady consumption. So this is why I use this product last, because it shouldn't work. I did however got result, because of it or not I don't know since I have no proof. If you don't have a stick laying around, you can spend $30 for the Yard Butler bait applicator.

Rip off..very little product in big container
The container has maybe 1/5 to 1/6 full of product. I bought 4 containers and they all have the same amount of product. Very expensive for what you get. I think I will send these back to the seller.

Worked great for me! I had 6+ active gophers and 2-3 weeks later, no new mounds.
This finally got my gopher problem under control along with that dispensing probe that I bought. I tried drowning them, but the cave system is so vast that the water never even surfaced, and I would have new mounds the next day. So I followed the instructions and it took about 2-3 weeks for no more mounds. I'm sure I'll get an occasional gopher from my neighbors, but now I know how to deal with it, immediately. Great product!
