What is the thickness of the chain?

My hubby measured the thickness of the chain to be 1/8" wide.   The chain is 36" long and has 48 teeth.  It cuts well but my hubby says that if you want to take down some higher branches, it would be easier with a team of 2 people.  That is  just his opinion.  Have a great day!

How do I extend the saw to cut high branches?
