Christopher Durang Explains It All for You: 6 Plays

I'm not even going to lie, I hated this collection of plays. For some reason, I just thought the stories were all sub-par and uninteresting. The only play that I liked was Sister Mary Ignatius. I'm very sad that I didn't like the rest of them, because I went in with such high expectations. I read Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike before this anthology and I laughed until I cried. I was expecting that same experience with this, but instead I was just disappointed.

I bought this for the possibility of production. Have to find the right venue. I really like it but it takes a certain tolerance.

These plays are absurdist, unexpected comedy. The characters deliberately defy social norms at every opportunity, and they are hilariously written.Reminded me a bit of Monty Python. Really great plays.

Durang is really difficult to get into for me.

Honestly, the book was new and hilarious!

Durang is a fantastically gifted playwright and "BeyondTherapy" is the best American comedy of the last 30 years.Broadway needs him. Where is he?
