I'm doing a review for our two 20" & a 24" Mixi luggages for just one and only reason. It's not for their rugged beauty and elegance, the wide handle resulting in a spacious interior, the enjoyment of packing them in preparation for trips to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Europe and Asia. It's not for the reason they are so nice we own 3 and gifted 2. No! It's for the only reason that Mixi need to make a translucent cover specifically for its luggage so their elegance can be maintained and not get tarnished by abuse from airline baggage handlers. This is a plea!🙂

I'll preface with I did not keep this item for a variety of reasons. Over all, this appears to be a very nice suitcase. I like the hard side exterior and the lap top compartment on the front. The laptop compartment flap has to be opened all the way to access the main storage compartment which I didn't mind (I recall another reviewer complained about this). I also like the wide handle which allows a larger, flatter area on the inside to place your things. THE DOWNSIDE: This wide handle will not likely accommodate loops on the backs of backpacks and carry-ons that narrower handles will (where you slide the item over the suitcase handle to keep it on there while you wheel it). The construction says it's Bayer polycarbonite which is better than ABS but not as durable as aluminum. The wheels roll well and the handle seems sturdy, I found the sewing and features to be nicely done.

I'll be honest, I had some unintentional bias against this suitcase because I'd never heard of Mixi as a company before but I've been pleasantly surprised by this suitcase. It's incredibly light weight, the wheels articulate very smoothly and haven't caused me any issues to date after half a dozen work trips. The telescoping handle is without a doubt my favorite of any suitcase I've ever owned. I really enjoy that it's wide handled spanning the width of the suitcase. I also absolutely love the fact that this doesn't split down the middle and open "book-style" like more common suitcases, that's just a personal preference thing, but I like how I get to my destination and I feel like everything is neatly tucked into my "travel drawer". Beyond that the front panel is really convenient to keep magazines and such in for quick access while in transit. I think this is a well thought design that's well implemented. Your mileage may vary. Time will tell how long the durability holds up, but for now and after a handful of work trips I'm very happy with the quality of it. Note that I'm also not super hard on my luggage, I don't throw it around without regard and I never check it on a flight so it's not an item that takes a ton of abuse but it does still have to hold up to what I consider normal wear and tear. In summary, it's a good suitcase and I do recommend it to others who are looking for this style of front/top opening suitcase!

I travel for a living, and I have tried many, many carry-ons. This one is the best I’ve tried. Wheels are excellent. The way the retracting handle works, it doesn’t have two annoying bars taking up the inside space - like every other carry-on I’ve tried. So the inside space is spacious and easy to pack. Also, the front laptop compartment for easy access is really nice. Oh, also, unlike many hard carry-ons, it zips open at the top (vs. in the middle, making half of your crap fall out every time you open it at the airport).

Loved thus luggage, have on for myself and my wife. A bit heavy, but made up for with the wide handle and opening on one side. Very packable. Now the rub- because they were heavy, I had to gate-check it. No biggie but when I got it back, the zipper handles had broken off. There is a delicate plastic piece (now missing) that keeps the zipper pulls on. I am hesitant to travel with them any more as I there is nothing to prevent them from unzipping and opening. Sad that this ultimately was an expensive experiment.

A great suitcase - rolls easily. It has several handles to manage moving it easier. It is a midsize suitcase with a TSA approved locking system. Very happy with my purchase! It will be easier for me to manage this one, most of mine have small wheels and are not so easy to manuver when packed. It is a light color but made of durable material. Thanks for a great product!!

I wasn't even going to attempt to buy this, but it was almost too good to be true that so I did, just so I can see what these are like a pray they will fit my needs for traveling international. I usually do 9-14 day trips. This suitcase result: FAIL Why: International size requirements at least for the U.S. to other countries is mostly is 21.5H" x 9W x 15L These suitcase shorten the L by 2" and it may not seem like a lot in numbers, but it sure makes A LOT of difference when packing your stuff. I searched all over the internet and there is one more the same and it is the exact same problem. Also note, the front part that opens up, is very very flimsy. I'm used to swinging my suit case open, but if it stuck to the zipper that opens the middle part, you could rip it off if possible.

Chic, mehr Platz als gedacht. Manko: PC Fach nicht gesondert verschließbar. Öffnen bedeutet, man öffnet gleich das Hauptfach, um den PC, Block o.ä. Rauszuholen. Rollen super leichtläufig.

Got it for my wife!! Best looking suitcase. Huge compartment. Medium size to best for 7-10 days vacation. Solid wheels and material. Quality items. I will buy their cabin luggage. Thats next on my list
