They are a really pretty red. Not a super bright red, but could easily be used for Christmas.

I have not tried them in the oven or microwave.

Just lovely!!!

I had some beautiful black rimmed dinner plates given to me, but needed the salad plates. These are beautiful. They are a matte finish, heavy and durable, and the perfect touch for my plates. Don’t hesitate to make this purchase.

Chipped on first use

love these plates but in washing after the very first use, one has a large chip in it.I gave only 2 stars because despite the fact that they look good, they seem fragile

Mismatched

I purchase an order of 6 black salad plates for my Thanksgiving table. When they arrived yesterday there were four similar salad plates and two that are an inch or so bigger. I can't seem to find a way to see if I can exchange the two larger plates. Other than the mismatched sizing they seem like great black salad plates.
