Do i need to remove the dash or center console to place the cables?

The short answer is no, you do not need to remove the dash or center console. In most cases, you can remove the cover panels at the base of the center console or pull them out sufficiently to run the cables under the console. Usually you have to remove the PulleyMounts (brake and gas pedal clamps) from the cables so they can easily route under the dash. Re-attaching the PulleyMounts is an easy process. The instructions, which are available in the product description, show the step-by-step installation process in detail.
