Viotek 144Hz GN32LD QHD 32 inch Curved Gaming Monitor 2560x1440 Widescreen; Adjustable Stand, 1440P Resolution & FreeSync

I don't typically write reviews, but I decided to on this monitor since buying a monitor (especially for gaming) can be a daunting enough task. I am not a professional gamer, but I am someone who enjoys FPS games and I haven't seen many reviewers make note of how this plays with a FPS, which is why I am leaving this review. Before I get into the review of the monitor, here are my system specs: Intel I7-6700K 4.00Ghz Skylake EVGA NVidia GTX 1070 FTW GAMING ACX3.0 GSkill Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2x8GB) Gigabyte G1 Gaming GA-Z170X I am using the monitor with a DisplayPort cable by Cable Matters (Gold Plated 6 Feet 4K Ready) and not the one included. I have only owned this for 2 days, but so far it has been a great monitor for gaming. I have been playing CoD WWII with max settings and the picture looks very crisp and there are no screen anomalies popping up (tearing, ghosting, etc). There is also no input lag. I have also tested Doom 4 at max settings. This game, too, runs incredibly well and there have been no screen issues. I am coming from a Dell 24 inch monitor (purchased close to 10 years ago), so this monitor is a large step up in size.(Model 2407 WFP if anyone wants to see those specs). From a gaming standpoint, I would say this is a worthwhile purchase, especially for FPS games. If you are coming from a monitor that has a lower refresh rate than the 144Hz, just be sure to update that in Windows since it will still show the last refresh rate being used for an old monitor. In reading many reviews for this specific model, as well as the 35 inch version, the 1080p version, and the gold-colored version, there have been many concerns about dead pixels, the monitor not waking up from standby, or flickering of the screen. At this point (again, only 2 days), I haven't experienced any of these issues. I will update this review if any of that changes, but as it stands now, this is a final review of the product.

Computer is great with bright colors. Have it paired with a RTX 2070 and has no issues what so ever. Easy set up comes with all tools needed. The stand for it is kinda funky and does require a bigger desk for it to sit on, but it doesn’t take up a lot of room as it’s just the tripod and anything can be placed under it I use that free space for my Xbox co trailer I use through blue tooth for shooter games. All in all a good buy.

I recently purchased a new rig for gaming that has an Intel i7-7700 4.2ghz coupled with a GTX-1070 8gb DDR5 for the graphics and 32gb DDR4 3200 RAM and wanted a new monitor as my old one was only running 1080p at 60hz. I had been bouncing back and forth between a couple of other better known brands for a 144hz monitor and in both cases I was looking at some serious money if I wanted anything in the 144hz 1440p range for anything larger than 27 inches. Until I came across Viotek Most of the information I found was about the first version of this monitor the GN32Q. Unlike the GN32Q which has a gold stand and backing the GN32LD is dark grey with red accents which appear on many mainstream gaming monitors today. Set up was extremely easy as Viotek supplies you with everything you would need to set up the monitor for the first time. It does come with a DP cable and adaptor screws for a Vesa mount. These screws extend just beyond the back of the panel so that when you attach the mount the plate isn't touching or damaging the back of the monitor. The image is a little warm straight out of the box. The panel comes preloaded with a couple of profiles but you will want to take the time to color balance the monitor yourself. It's definitely worth your time. The image you'll get is gorgeous. With the DP cable windows automatically recognized the display in it’s native resolution of 1440p and all I needed to do was select 144hz under the device options. The monitor also has an option for PbP as well as PiP. Game play is amazing with everything running at or just shy of max settings with an average fps of 100+ with liquid smooth action on screen. Even just working on your desktop there is no way to fully appreciate the difference running at 144hz makes with every visual element in Windows. There are just a couple of small drawbacks. One is the stand. Its bulk is a trade off given that it has to support a 32 inch monitor. With that said, I would have liked to have seen more positioning options. You have a relatively limited range of up and down and tilt but no side to side swivel. Also, since the monitor is mounted to a tripod it takes up a significant amount of space on your desk. My desk is 23 inches deep and that tripod is taking up 14.5 inches of real estate. I've ordered a mounting arm and will be installing it soon. The other note are the RGB lights on the back. They work as expected but do not put out enough ambient light to be seen anywhere other than from the back of the monitor. I've had the lights in my room shut off and I couldn't tell they were on without turning the monitor to the side to look. But again that's just an observation and doesn't impact the monitor's performance in any way. Hands down this monitor falls into my top five monitors I've purchased in the last 10 years and if I were honest I'd probably drop it in the number one slot. If you've come this far then you've spent too much time reading...this monitor is wonderful just go buy it!

The screen is awesome. I love it. However, I am deeply disappointed, that there are three bad pixels. I will be calling them tomorrow to see how they handle this. Stay tuned. So I returned it and got another. Same issue. Steer clear of this one. Bad experience.

I bought this monitor earlier in the year and overall i think it is a good product. I must say though, for the price i paid ( $550), i wouldn't pay that price again. I'd say $350 to $400 is a good price. I feel the price is more in the build quality than the monitor specs itself. The stand is very very sturdy, but it is huge and takes up so much desk space. I had to mount mine on the wall even though i did not want to only because the stand was huge. Also, the stand makes the monitor too high, which was another reason for mounting it to the wall. And last, the monitor does not move around on the stand. It is a fixed position. So i used an articulating wall mount to move it where i want to. As for the LED lighting, it's a gimmick at best. The LEDs are not bright enough to illuminate the wall behind it or the desk below it. I often forget that there are LEDs behind it. There are no speakers, which is a bummer, but there is an audio jack to install speakers or headphones, which doesn't help at all since all computers have their own soundcard with jacks. So i would rather connect it to the computer than to the monitor. The monitor does have a display port, which uses audio as well. So the fact that they have a display port without audio is just a waste. As for the screen size, i feel they bent the truth on this one. While the screen size itself is 32 inches with a thin bezel, there is also a black border between the bezel and screen which displays the graphics. So it is actually less than 32 inches. Aside from the dimensions, there is no way to move the image on the screen to adjust what you see or to center the image. For example, the screen cuts off some of the far right side of the windows desktop. So on the bottom of the screen on the far right, there is a box next to the clock that i usually click to switch my open apps. I cannot see this small box on thia monitor. However i can see it using any other monitor. There is a way to adjust the size of the screen image, but you just can't move it around since it's center is fixed. If there was a way to keep the screen size, but move the image around until it is perfectly centered, then i would be happier. Now onto the good part. Aside from the size of the stand, the overall build quality is really good. It feels sturdy and doesn't wobble. The colors, clarity, and blacks look great. The viewing angles are good. This is were they did really well with the product. After benchmarking, the 144Hz refresh rate is indeed 144Hz. The 2k resolution is really good as well. I use a GTX 108ti as my GPU. So the monitor works really good with the GPU. I also haave an RTX 580 and i had the same results. Even with VSync and GSync off, I have never noticed any screen tearing on the games I've played. Everything looks amazing on this monitor. Games, pictures, and movies. Also, the option to add fixed crosshairs to the middle of the display it also a bonus. It actually helps when i shoot from the hip when i play online first person shooters like Battlefield. I just hate that games do not allow me to disable their crosshairs, since it lays over the monitors crosshairs when i aim. But this is not Vioteks issue, so they share no blame there. So i have to say, the electrical engineering part of this product is perfect. Again, this is where they did really well. In summary, it's a good product. Just not good enough for what i paid. If they added speakers, took advantage of the black space on the monitor and actually made the image display at 32 inches, fixed the size of the stand, added the ability to move the monitor around on the stand, made the LEDs brighter to illuminate the desk or the wall behind it, and added the ability to shift the screen image around, then i would have been happy paying the $550 for it, even if these updates are minor and don't cost much. Without all that, again, $350 to $400 at most.

Decent price for a 32" curved 1440p but the monitor does have issues. Requires tuning down to 100hz in order to function properly and not have excessive amounts of ghosting or motion blur. Once down to 100hz it does respond better but at that rate you'd be better off spending $300 less for the 34um.

First of all, thanks to Viotek for coming out with a more affordable monitor with all the same specs as others costing much more. Coming from an ASUS ROG Swift PG27QR, which is an awesome quality monitor itself. Decided I wanted a little bigger screen and eventually a total of 3. Absolutely no complaints about this monitor. I was worried about not having the Nvidia G-sync but I haven't ran into any issues. I'm running an ASUS OC Nvidia 1080Ti as my GPU. Personally, I can't tell any difference between the ROG's 1ms response time and the VIOTEK's response time. Some people might be able to but I certainly cannot. Overall, this monitor is awesome. Picture quality is amazing, the build quality is great, and the stand makes it look like an aggressive gaming monitor. I debated on getting a 4k monitor but I don't feel it's necessary. I want to do a 3 screen set up and honestly at 32 inches and less I have a hard time seeing much different between 2k and 4k. Biggest con would have to the stand takes up quite a bit of space. I don't have a large desk and with the pyramid shaped stand and 32 inches of curved screen space, it basically eats up all of my desk space. I will be getting a bigger desk in the future so it's not a big deal but just know it does eat up some real estate. EDIT: I'm not sure why I didn't think of it sooner but a wall mount has fixed this issue! Would definitely recommend. A lot cheaper than many monitors with the same specs but is just as good or better.

The monitor has excellent color but you need to play with the settings to get the best picture. 144 Hertz makes a difference I usually cap my frame rate at about that and never seen any tearing. It's also capable of freesync over HDMI. I use this for my gaming PC and my Xbox One X. My one complaint is with the stand. It's very cheap construction the red caps that are on the legs are held in by screws which were too small. Where the monitor connects to the stand it was crooked. I had to redo and reset it so the monitor would sit straight. Other than that it's a good monitor for its price.

It's been an year since I got this monitor and I decide to leave a review. I am kind of surprised to see so many negative reviews on quality. Luckily, I haven't had any issue with mine. Overall, it's a great monitor for gaming and content consumption. I've done video and photo editing on these as well and the curve doesn't bother me as much due to the large size of screen. Overall, amazing value for money (but not the best), but I guess it's a bit of luck of draw.

J'utilise mon écran pour le gaming et pour écouter des Film. Rien à y redire. La qualité d'image est excellente pour les films et j'atteint les 144Hz en gaming (avec un GPU assez puissant). --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Après quelques mois d'utilisation j'ai eu un problème de Pixel... Certain pixel ne fonctionnent plus sous différentes couleurs. Ex: J'ai deux pixels qui n'affichent plus la couleur bleu, un autre qui n'affiche plus le vert, etc. Rien de dramatique vue le prix en comparaison avec une autre marque, mais un peu ennuyant quand même. Réduit à 4 étoiles pour cette raison.

Came perfectly. Was very easy to setup. The stand feels great, not cheap at all. Probably the most premium stand I've had my hands on and that's pretty dang good considering the value of the product. No dead pixels. Easy to get set to 144hz. Beautiful contrast ratio due to being a VA panel. Love the actual size. I personally hate monitors that are less than 27". All around a great monitor. The only downside is that there isn't a g-sync variant. This monitor was for my friend who's always used TN panels, so a VA is still a massive step up. In my opinion, an IPS would only be marginally better in color reproduction than this one, and at that, it wouldn't be worth the price.

I am very unhappy about this monitor a complete waste of money. Havent even had it for a year and already there's a defect in the picture. I want my money back !!!!

I'm fortunate enough that Amazon gave extended returns for anything purchased since "black friday". This monitor performed perfectly though I never used it much aside from an hour or two a day if that. I'm almost 2 months in and I'm starting to see a flicker like "screen tearing" and the screen goes black as if I changed the resolution or refresh rate for a second. Comes back and more "screen tearing". It's been happening for about 2 weeks now but I thought maybe it's my DP wire, it wasn't. I do have a second monitor setup (my old ASUS) and I see no flicker, no black screen. To explain better, when you change resolution or refresh rate, both screens will go dark for a minute and then come back on. This screen tear and black out ONLY happens on the VIOTEK. I liked this monitor so much that I bought the expensive amazon basics $130 mounting arm since the stand is ugly. This flicker worries me and with 14 days left to return, I don't think it's worth the risk. So i'll just buy another monitor from Amazon and return this unfortunately. I gave this monitor a fair shake and I feel pretty bummed out right now. So very disappointed. It seems this monitor is a roll of the dice. Some get lucky and I thought I was one of the lucky ones. I don't recommend taking the risk unfortunately. I'm so glad Amazon does good by their customers.
