I don't think the state of California allows cold air intakes has a modification on your vehicle

After cleaning or washing the filter, does it need to be oil?

I oil it but let it stand for a day to two before installing it in my car, although it does not have to be oiled.

Is this filter washable / cleanable or only suitable for replacement when dirty?

My son, who is into cars, tells me it is washable. I put this kit on my 2015 charger r/t.

Does this filter come pre-oiled, ready to install?

It is not a oiled filter like the KN ones. You do not have to oil it, to clean it just some wool lite in a bucket and let it dry.

Amazon compatibility incorrect, seems like the right filter for a diff car

I bought this for my Challenger TA 392. The filter is not compatible. The intake diameter on this filter is smaller than the OEm filter. The overall length is slightly longer than the OEM airbox. The filter arrived quickly and looks like it would satisfy the needs of the correct airbox. I just shouldn't have trusted the Amazon compatibility for my model Challenger.
