I knew what I wanted after over a year checking them out. I have used the basic bullet ice ones, but I want nuggets ice now and I'm willing to pay, but the. Negative reviews are keeping me from pulling the trigger. So for another year, I research nugget ice machines like crazy. I found this one and something was different. The reviews were great and it had everything I was looking for. 5 months ago, I made the purchase and I haven't regretted a thing. It's fast, it's quiet, it cleans itself. I have used nothing but distilled water because the book will tell you that if you want to keep calcium buildup and whatever else off your machine, use distilled water. They aren't kidding, it's amazing. Ice is perfect and it does NOTHING to the flavor of your ice. I can't review the customer service because I have had no reason to contact them. If they read this, I would tell them Thank You. So if you are like me, trying to make a decision and also you have that nice looking GE Opal 2.0 in your head with 80% negative reviews.....don't do it. Besides having that cool light inside of it, there's no way in hell it can top this Euhomy. I made sure I got 5 months of use before doing review, and it's been absolutely perfect the entire time.Oh yea, I do have 1 complaint..... They put sticker on top machine letting us know to not use machines until 24 hours after you place it where it's going to stay, which is a good thing....... But the sticky stuff on sticker won't go away and it's right on top of machine. It does drive me crazy they put it right there and there's always spot I gotta look at when the rest of machine is just beautiful. Move the sticker or use a sticker that doesn't cause this. If you are not OCD like me, you will care less.

I loved this icemaker. I have had regular ice makers in the past, but none that made soft chewable ice. After about 6-7 months, I noticed very small shards of metal in the bottom of the machine and what looked like dirt. I only used bottled water, so I tried cleaning really well. I used about 3 gallons of bottled water. It looked clean until I made ice. Shortly, thereafter it stopped working altogether. I reached out to Euhomy who promptly responded and then sent a new replacement. Great customer service and I would buy again!

I had purchased this ice machine in October 2023. After three months the machine stopped making ice. After trouble shooting the machine myself, I contacted Euhomy customer support/service and they graciously, via email, provided step by step advanced trouble shooting instructions. Unfortunately, we were unable to fix the problem, however, Euhomy shipped me (free of charge) a new ice machine. The new machine has been working great and I have had no problems with it.

I bought this despite the reviews where people were having issues so close to purchase, thinking of course, that won't happen to me. Well, it did.Two weeks shy of it's one year anniversary, this icy puppy has given up it's bone. It had been moved inside to our kitchen after our travels and was making ice fine, albeit noisily. There were no indications that there was a problem.Then it recently started squeaking and the next morning the entire watery contents were spilled all over the counter and on the floor - right under the refrigerator it was sitting next to😮‍💨.So disappointed. At the price we paid, it should last at least a year!After helping me clean up the mess and consoling my sobbing ugly crying, the curious family engineer (real life went to school engineer) pulled the cover off to figure out what failed. The assessment (See pics) - based on the scale marks and rust, this thing has been leaking for a while and basically rusted out. The water is leaking out of the metal cooling chamber.I am probably just going to replace with the half price version at the big box warehouse store. At least I won't feel so taken advantage of about the price and I can take it back if it breaks before the year is out.Recommendation: Do NOT buy!It was nice while it worked, but I do not recommend this ice maker/brand based on my experience and the other reviews where it failed after such a short time.-----------------Previous Review:We bought this for our outdoor kitchen in our RV so we would have enough ice without having to do ice trays. It makes wonderful ice. I love the size and texture and probably go through three 32 oz. cups packed to the brim each day and there is still enough for the rest of the family to have some too. lolThis icemaker does get hot and is a bit loud for use inside a rig if you are just planning to leave it plugged in on the counter. In the outdoor kitchen though, the noise isn't a problem. We leave ours running 24/7 so we do leave the outdoor kitchen hatch propped open slightly in the summer to keep the air moving so it doesn't overheat.We have ours hooked up to a water supply so I don't have to constantly add water. I can't imagine that it would go very long without being refilled because it makes ice pretty fast.The ice bucket is only slightly insulated, but because it is nugget ice, it melts fast anyway. So if you want to build up an ice stash, you would need to transfer the ice to the freezer. Depending on how warm the ambient temperature is, the ice in the basket sometimes also stays wet.So far, we are two months in on the Gulf Coast heading into summer and it is still making great ice using it every day.Overall, even being more expensive than the regular countertop ice makers, I would still buy this one again. Recommend.

10/2023 Updating my review to 4 stars. The company reached out to me and replaced the ice maker after troubleshooting via email. They have solid customer service and the ice maker makes some of the best ice out there. Below is my initial review: 9/2023 As we approached the one year mark we were disappointed to find the ice maker stopped functioning well. It takes all day to make one bin of ice and it makes a strange sound every few seconds as it’s making ice. While it worked we were so happy with this purchase and rationalized that it was worth the cost because we had amazing ice. Now that it stopped functioning at one year it definitely was not worth the purchase. We are waiting for customer service and hoping they can assist us.
