CB CHROMEBATTERY YTX14-BS 200CCA ATV Battery- Rechargeable, Factory sealed, Replacement for Honda TRX 500 420 450 350 300 Rubicon Foreman Rancher

Replacement for my 2001 Honda rancher 350. Battery works surprisingly good. Worked right out of the box and didn’t need to trickle charge. Supplied hardware fit perfectly into the terminals without any modification.

Arrived and looks good. Easy to install perfect match for original. Go to start and barely engages starter. Put on my small charger and let sit for an hour. No change. Put on my larger car charger (very short time) but still no change. Jumped with my lithium jump starter and engine turned over faster than I'd ever heard. Put on my Yuasa tender overnight - 24 hours later worked normally. Moved my tender to my other bike and sat a week. Same (dead) Used lithium jump starter, fired up and drove for over an hour (hoping alternator would recharge in that time which seems totally reasonable) Did not - had to bump start. Drove home, put on tender overnight and once again started normally. Left on tender for 2 weeks went to start and totally dead (even on tender) Put old Yuasa battery back in and opened RMA case with Chrome. Took several emails to get a response and was disappointed I need to pay $8.40 to return the day 1 defective battery to them. I will update the review once I see how support and presumably the replacement battery works out. 8.26.23

My 2003 Truimph Tiger needed a new battery, my bike is hard on them and the old one is 3 or 4 seasons old, was not cranking the engine reliably so it was new battery time. My go-to is Amazon Resale first, and they had 1 in stock for $12 off the regular price. When ordered the original deleivery date was Monday and they delivered it on Sunday, so that's a point in their favor. Not os good was that the battery arrived on it's side, not up, being a sealed AGM (as near as I can tell) it did not leak and the delivered voltage was 12.72. After installing it and charging for a couple hours at the 2 amp rate the battery cranked up the engine with power to spare. Another Amazon Resale bargain! BTW-exact replacement, delivered with the bolts for the terminals, and the terminals themselves are design to hold the nuts in place so the bolts go in without the usual hunt and poke. Nicely done!

The battery does NOT fit a Gen 3 KLR 650. However, since I was past my return date, I used it in my lawnmower and it works fine.

I bought this in Sept 2024 for use on my 2015 Aprilia Caponord 1200 motorcycle. Within 8 months I was having occasional issues starting my bike (basically if it wasn't within a day or two off the maintainer, wouldn't start). By Oct 2025 (13 months) I couldn't start at all with this battery. I started the return process and paid $8.40 to get a replacement battery. I will say their service department was very easy to work with and helpful, but the new one immediately had trouble and was only able to start the bike twice (and that only after fully charging each time). I had to get my bike in for a regular oil change anyway (had to jump start it to get it to the shop) and asked them to diagnose my starting problems. They said the battery was at 5% health, just 10 CCA when it should be 200. Basically the replacement battery was trash. Replaced with a Yuasa (3x the cost, apparently for good reason). STAY AWAY!
