Can you wear it plugged in or does it need to be disconnected to work?

Will not work unplugged.  I think this is a safety feature.  I love my capillus hat and have been told by my hair dresser that there is a definate change in the texture of my hair.   I have been using my hat for only 5 months and am completely satisfied.  I am 81 years old and really surprised that it also works for the elderly,  LOVE IT.

Why does this cost $900 while the others cost around $3000 or $2000

Professional units cost more. The # of laser lights also determine the price.  Using for shorter duration with pro versions. General not needed for home use.

What is the warranty

Capillus provides a 1 year limited warranty on the Capillus82 laser cap device and a 1 year limited warranty on the battery pack and AC Adapter. Capillus warrants the Capillus82 against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase from a Capillus authorized center. To activate your warranty on the Capillus82, register your device within 30 days of purchase as directed on the user manual. If a defect in material or workmanship exists, Capillus will repair or replace the necessary parts with new or reworked parts at no charge. Any replacement part will be covered under the original 1 year limited warranty.

This Warranty does not cover damages caused by acts of God, misuse, negligence, accident, or modification of any part of the unit as determined by our return department. This Warranty does not cover damage due to improper operation or maintenance, connection to improper voltage supply, or attempted repair by anyone other than the company. Failure to use and maintain the Capillus82 in accordance with the instructions in this manual will void the product warranty.
