Aqua Natural Ice White 10lb Gravel Substrate for aquascaping, Aquariums, vivariums and terrariums 4-6mm, White

These are nice, BRIGHT WHITE ROCKS we use for our fish aquarium. White does get dirty quicker, so we shuffle the rock around more often, to have the pump circulate & suck up the debris. We've been using the bright white rocks in our aquarium for months now & I am still happy we got them. We did have to pick out about 30 tiny off-colored pebbles, when first adding them to the tank. Its best to do this when you first rinse the rock in a strainer/calendar. They are much better looking than the dirty beige rock you see in most pet stores. We have a 42 gallon tank and needed about 6 bags to cover the bottom of the tank thick enough to look nice.

Normally I stick to natural white sand for my aqua-builds and aqua-scapes, however a specific need called for gravel. I needed gravel that's white, angular (not rounded), and somewhat fine (larger than sand, but not giant hulking rock fragments). Options are severely limited, especially considering I refuse to use unnatural dyed garbage that is prevalent online and in stores. Overall I quite love this product. It's high quality, natural, is packaged quite clean, is easy to rinse further, and looks very nice. The price was reasonable all things considered. The only complaint is that the bottom of the bag had quite a bit of finer material that was closer to a coarse sand than a fine gravel. Maybe I'm being picky, but I had a specific need, and expected slightly larger based on the advertisement, etc.

Great gravel just run it under water for a bit first. Looks amazing under the black light.

Bright white gravel of the correct size for terrarium/aquarium substrate. I used it to cover activated charcoal to keep things sweet. Adequate amount to cover a medium-size terrarium. Should be easy to remove and clean for reuse.

Great for my 5 gallon. I had a little left over. I rinsed 3 times before putting in tank. Definitely don’t put in tank without rinsing first.

Beautiful in the tank. Easy to clean up with tank vacuum. They are smaller size so may not be great for larger mouth fish.

Rinsed several times thought it was good put it in my aquarium and water was still cloudy from debris. I even used a purified water to rinse after tap water still cloudy.

I really liked the look of this white gravel. It goes great with the decor in the tank. It is expensive though, considering I can get pea gravel for a fraction of the cost. But i really wanted this color so I went ahead and got it. Just like the other reviews say, wash it a few times before adding it. And with anything white, you will see any little dirt or debris in the tank, but that van be good or bad, however you choose to look at it. I like being able to see the snails against the white, as they blend in with the natural colored gravel in my other tank. Overall, I really like it!
