Heat and fan are horrible
The laptop sounds like an airplane after only 10 minutes of light use, and puts off a ton of heat. Performance is acceptable, but brand new and with very light usage (streaming video) I shouldn’t be hearing the fans over the streaming content. Also the responses that dell puts about cleaning, updating bios etc, already done and verified and still a problem. I would not recommend wasting your money on this.

Cheaply built
I have owned this laptop for about a year and a half. Both hinges broke and screen cannot stay upright now. Charging port doesn't get a connection well and will not charge sometimes.

Too many problems
I ordered this laptop for my son to replace an older one that had died. The specs are good. Unfortunately, the quality control here was lacking, and I had to return this machine for a full refund. The screen has a dead pixel. Sometimes the laptop refuses to start up unless the AC adapter is plugged in, despite the battery already being charged. Seemingly at random, the audio stops working and can only be restored by rebooting the machine. The performance, also, is not up to expectations. Minecraft (not the most graphically intense game) runs with a jumpy, inconsistent frame rate. I have had very good experiences with Dell machines in the past; hopefully, this was just an anomaly.

If you plan on using this thing to run capture software then look into another device.
