Post op
Very helpful. Unfortunately I have to continue to wear them. Well made. Easy to get on and off. The velcro is starting to not stick just cause I have to wear them for such a long time...it's been 6 months now. I wear them in and outside. I would recommend them. Wish the size was easier to understand.

Hard Boot to Beat
I was very pleased with my purchase of this protective shoe/boot after foot surgery. The one the doctor gave me when leaving the hospital was white and quickly got dingy from walking In the yard. My new shoe is easy to clean and very comfortable. Although I gave it five stars, I should have ordered one size larger due to the location of the surgery (my toes), but that is my own fault for not considering. The shoe is well-made and very comfortable. It is lightweight and easy to move around in - whether using crutches or walking. The Velcro closures hold well and allow for different level of loose or tight closure depending on foot size and swelling. Delivery was fast, and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a protective shoe after foot surgery.

Good quality, but sizes are confusing
Very good straps, comfortable, and easy to put on and take off. The firm sole does keep my toes from moving, just as my doctor said was necessary. The bottom of the sole has good grip for smooth hardwood floors and for outdoor sidewalks and lawns. Overall excellent! The only issue I have is that there are only 3 sizes, and, at the time of writing, the product page offers little guidance. Medium fit my 8.5 foot mostly, and the sole was long enough to protect my toes. However, the front strap (the wide one) was too big, as if it were made for a foot with a cast on it. I then ordered a small, but right away could see how much smaller it is, short enough that my toes would have protruded far beyond the front of the sole. In the end, I stuck with the fairly well-fitting Medium, but the tip of the wide strap scrapes along the floor a bit.

Excellent quality product
Unfortunately I was not able to use the product because I found another shoe which worked better for my injury. This ortho shoe is of excellent quality. I wear a size 12 shoe and this XL ran over an inch or more past my toe. If you guys out there need a shoe that is long enough to properly cover your 12 inch foot this is the shoe for you! It will work with feet of vary degrees of width as well. I have a narrow foot and it was fine but it would probably work for guys who have average to slightly wide feet as well! It can be adjusted. Again quality product!!!!

Comfortable, but long-term durability may be a problem
I ordered several varieties of orthopedic shoes after leg surgery that required a cast, and this one turned out to be the most sturdy and comfortable. I normally wear a women’s size 10, but I ordered a men’s large so it would fit over my cast, which covers my lower leg and foot with only my toes exposed. From a sizing standpoint, it worked well and was not overly large. The sole feels solid, and the Velcro straps hold securely. My foot feels stable inside the shoe, which is important while using a walker. I am deducting two stars, however, because I am concerned about durability. I have only been wearing this sandal indoors at home, and after just one week, the fabric inside the front part of the shoe is already starting to fray and show noticeable wear. This is frustrating given how little use it has had and the fact that it is only worn inside. Since I do not plan to use this shoe long term, I am willing to accept this as long as it holds together for the next few weeks. If it starts to fall apart before then, I will update this review and reduce it to one star.

Too small
A broken pinky toe, swollen foot and pain made me look for a shoe like this. I own a boot but it's too cumbersome to lug around inside the house. Delivery was super fast but unfortunately the shoe I received is too small, even though I ordered according to the size chart! (It is really annoying when you can't trust the sizing chart THEY provide!) My regular shoe size is a woman's 10 1/2, and I ordered men's Medium, thinking they'd run a bit wider than women's, to accommodate the swelling. Nope. Width is great, but my big toe hangs over the front of the shoe. This is not going to work, as the Velcro closure sits right on top of my broken toe and every time I lift that foot, the toe "hits" the Velcro closure and causes more pain. Back it goes.

Broke my toes and this was the perfect shoe for recovery
I broke my big toe and the one next to it. I ordered this United Ortho Post-Op Shoe - Orthopedic Adjustable Recovery Shoe. It arrived fast and I was able to start using it right away. My toes could not have any downward pressure or pressure pushing my toes back toward my feet. With this shoe I simply put a soft wash cloth under the front half of my foot, which elevated my toes just enough that they were floating and did not have any downward or inward pressure. It worked so well I could start walking (cautiously) around my house with a few days of the break. I used it for the first three weeks and was able to use a wide toed tennis shoe after that. In my opinion it was a good price for a good solution to my broken toes and helped me get around and heal painlessly quicker than without it.

If in between sizes, get the bigger size
Oh the irony of tripping while I was decluttering and rearranging my work room so I wouldn’t have so many trip hazards. Snap! Broken toe After seeing doctor and getting an x-ray I learned the only thing to be done was tapping the broken toe to the next toe, get this air… and walk as little as possible for several weeks. The insurance process obscene but Amazon had this to me the next day acts fraction of the price I was right between sizes and tge doctor recommended going with the larger size because the toe shouldn’t go to the edge of the to she was right. There’s about 3/4 inch and that came in handy when I tripped again while wearing the shoe. It scared me but the show protected the broken tow because of that ‘bunper@ in front. The fit itself is awkward because she was shaped like a swimming fin and is flat and rigid. It’s definitely a lot easier and more comfortable to get a comfortable shoe on the other foot that’s about the same height.
