44357 Shear Bolt Kit Set of 6

It's hard to buy tractor parts online and it's been frustrating because I've not been able to find shear bolts locally. These are the perfect fit for an old Bush Hog RZ60 - I'm very pleased.

After using the local stores bolts and burning through about 10 bags in 2 years I decided to buy these bad boys. They actually fit a little snug (tapped in with wrench) and I'm no longer needing to stop my hog every 5 minutes to retighten the nut on the cheapo bolts I used to use.

One is tempted to use off the shelf bolts when the factory bolt breaks. Doing so greatly increases the chance of catastrophic failure of the gear box on the bush hog costing $$$$. The proper shear bolt is important. These are perfect.

Just low grade bolts, I was just too lazy to drive to the hardware store.

Have broken them just starting 60" Bush Hog. Recommend Grade 5 instead of Grade 2 bolt.

Shearing after maybe 10 to 15 cuts & without making strong blade impacts

I sheared 4 of the 5 yesterday, being more and more careful each time. I have a 6' bush hog, and probably need something more toward grade 8. these are probably grade 1 or 2
