I love opossums and they often hang out in my backyard. One night a female showed up having obviously just been bitten. She had a patch of hair torn from her side and 2 puncture wounds that were red & bloody but not actively bleeding. Other than that she seemed just hungry and thirsty as usual. She’s a wild animal and I don’t ever touch them unless it’s to help. I didn’t want to frighten her by grabbing her and I know from experience an animal like this will be put down if I called animal control. They’re not even open in the middle of the night where I live anyways and most are taken to a local 24-hr vet during the evening for triage, etc. There’s only a certain amount of $ provided by the county hat can be spend to treat each animal based on their estimated possibility of survival. I quickly grabbed my phone and ordered a bottle of Vetericyn Woundcare. It was one of the only wound sprays that could be delivered the next day but also had good reviews. I hoped the opossum would visit the next night so I could spray her and she did. Since I wasn’t able to touch her, I adjusted the nozzle to fan out (instead of stream) and offered her some food w one hand while I sprayed her side w the bottle w the other. I sprayed 3-4 really direct sprays all over the wound. She’d obviously been bitten by another animal and it had torn off her fur. I didn’t see her for a week after that but when she came, it looked like the puncture wounds were healing just fine. But on her other side, she had another patch of missing fur and more puncture wounds! I again sprayed her and hoped for the best. I didn’t see her for 3-4 weeks but when she came back around, I could see the wounds had closed up w no infection and the fur was growing back. This made me very happy! I’m thrilled w this product. I wasn’t sure how she’d keep those wounds from getting infected but w this woundcare spray, it wasn’t an issue. I would definitely recommend Vetericyn Woundcare. It worked for me and my opossum. And who says only cats have 9 lives?

Worked great on the wound on myDogs paw. Helped with the itching. Didn’t have a smell. Worked great for what I needed it for.

I got this for my cats. It is helping but hasn't stopped the issue. One cat has short spasms and may bite himself so I spray the wound. Another has allergies and irritated skin and I sponge it on her skin to help the irritation. It helps but does not heal the skin completely and I cannot figure out what is causing the allergy.

If you have animals for you get hurt yourself, this is great.

Worked like a charm. Wish I could have taken a before and after. Before I started using it on my cat, the tail was bleeding from how much he was scratching and licking. And now, about a month later is healing nicely and he does not scratch it or lick it.

My go to for anything my pets need. Safe for all areas on my cats or dogs.
