Good quality the needle provided for threading in moccasins is very useful and helpful.

The metal needle is much too thick and is utterly worthless. The needle for threading the rawhide laces should be far, far narrower and very sharply pointed at one end. I will see what I might be able to do with a thin nail which I will sharpen at the end. The laces are o'k but do not match the rawhide laces on my Timberland boat shoes.

THIS PRODUCT IS EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED Full grain leather finally. If you're unaware genuine leather is an industry term that means scrap leather that's been recycled into a new piece of leather. Genuine leather is the plywood of the leather world. It's all the scraps chemically bonded together. It makes for crappy quality, and passable looks. If you want something with real leather quality look for full grain leather like this. For my use case this product was ever so slightly thicker/bigger than I needed, but it's undoubtedly good quality that will last me many years to come.

An excellent purchase and well worth the money. The leather laces on my boat shoes are prone to snapping every so often. As my local shoerepairer has now retired - and other repair shops are unable or unwilling to help - I will need to replace the laces myself. This repair kit is a godsend and very easy to use. With a bit of effort and judicious fiddling it is a straightforward process to relace your boat shoes. I highly recommend this product.
