I’m very happy with this hair color. The color came out vibrant and looked very close to the pictures. It was easy to apply, had a pleasant scent, and left my hair feeling soft instead of dry. The color lasted well and faded evenly over time. I received several compliments after using it. I would definitely purchase this product again and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, bold hair color. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve been loyal to Arctic Fox for like a decade. I liked the brand better than Pulp Riot, which my stylist uses in the salon, so I always brought AF to my appointments and used it at home for touch-ups in between. For whatever reason, I felt pulled to branch out and try Lunar Tides recently. The reviews had me sold and I loved the shade range, so I figured, what’s the harm? I bought Cranbaby for most of my head, and Petal Pink for my money piece, and took them along with me to my appointment at the salon. My stylist had never used this brand before either, so she made sure to really saturate my hair in small sections to make sure we got even coverage. And my oh my, did it turn out like a dream. Cranbaby covered my faded purple flawlessly, but the best part of the whole experience has been how long-lasting it is for a red. Stylists and people with general knowledge of hair color know that reds are the hardest color to maintain. I fully expected this shade to fade to a pinky color before the one month mark, but it didn’t happen. I’m pleasantly surprised that I’ve finally found a red that is relatively low maintenance. I usually touch up my color at home every 4 weeks, but I went 6 weeks before I did it this time, and it wasn’t really out of necessity. Most of the color held up, it really only faded at the crown of my head where my shampoo is doing the most work. Although the floral scent of this brand isn’t as nice to me as the grape candy scent of Arctic Fox, that’s just a minor little detail that won’t stop me from repurchasing from this brand again and again. If the red holds up this nicely, I imagine the other shades will outperform AF as well. Petal Pink faded somewhat quickly, as is the nature of pastels and their lack of pigmentation, but with Cranbaby I don’t even feel the need to wash my hair in cold water to maintain my color, and that speaks volumes on the pigmentation and longevity Lunar Tides is giving me with this lovely red. I’m sold, I’m converted. I can’t wait to try out more colors.

I applied it, 8oz total, and let it sit not for 1hr but 4hrs and it looks like I maybe brushed a tiny amount on my hair & left it for 20 minutes. I’ve been doing my own hair since the 90’s. I’m not an amateur. I REALLY wanted to like this. It smells nice & seems to have conditioned my hair well. But I’m going to have to buy more dye & I really don’t have time for this.

i have medium brown hair naturally but thought this would go well with it and give it more depth. the reason i gave it 2 stars was because it does actually look good and show up despite my darker hair. however, the main drawback to this product is the bleeding. my hands and neck have been pink since the moment i dyed my hair. i used gloves during the application process but did end up touching it while still wet after i washed it out the first time. it has been bleeding on my clothes when i sweat, on my hands when i sleep at night, and almost permanent stains on my neck. i also have medium thick hair past my shoulders and bought 2 bottles. only had to use half a bottle to cover my whole head which is awesome. i will use what product i have left but unfortunately will not buy again.

I have only tried one color from this brand so the following might not apply to all colors. I applied this over a mix of brown and blonde hair and I would say if you have dark brown hair, don’t expect this to give you anything more than a hue of red when the sun hits your hair but on medium/light brown hair this will come up correctly and it looks quiet bright on blonde hair. My biggest complaint is that it stains EVERYTHING. My DRY hair touching my shirt all day has stained my shirt. My pillow is stained. My hands are stained from simply washing my hair. My skin is stained from my hair just touching me. Bleach is literally the only thing that gets it off and obviously that is not skin safe and can’t be put on all fabrics. All in all, it did what it was supposed to, my hair is dyed but so is everything else on me and around me.

Beautiful color. I did not bleach my hair and just put this color over my dark brown hair, I have a lot of greys so it was this beautiful deep red with pops of a lighter red. Because I didn't bleach my hair beforehand though it only stayed a few washes. I have the underside of my hair bleached and when I do my roots again I'll be dying it this red. I'm very excited. Smells like old punky color used to smell, which I find pleasant and nostalgic.

Fun color. Easy to apply. No odor or dripping. Will use again and check out other colors.
