I'll be frank - I've bought Sponeed gear in the past for summer use and I made fun of it. Not because it was inferior - it actually worked great, but I assumed that since it was so inexpensive, it would be much inferior to brand-name $$$ stuff. I bought a lot of cycling clothing this fall/winter to try out, including top end stuff from Assos (gawd expensive!!!), all the way down to this set of thermal cycling pants. I didn't expect much from this one, but it's the one set of long cycling pants I ended up keeping - I returned all the rest, including assos! I'm not going to say this was better than the Assos - no way. But this costs literally 1/8th the cost of Assos pants, and the only shortcoming I had on this one was less groin windproofing which is solved by just wearing one more layer of compression shorts under the Sponeed. This set of Sponeed thermal pants is amazingly legit. Perfect for 37-55F, you could go lower with added base layers. I've had no problems at all with it and the cut and quality are actually excellent. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for max bang for buck and essentially no compromises.

Just bought my third pair. Wear them instead of shorts during summer. Florida sun can be brutal. I prefer sweat to skin cancer, having had two mohs surgeries on legs in past 2 years. True sized, if you like them tight. Comfortable, worn them on 30+ mile bike rides with no problem. Would like to see leg zippers 2" longer and elastic waistband 3/4-1" wider. 5'10", 175 lbs, 32" waist for reference.

I bought the Sponeed padded bicycle tights for warmer weather as Winter is ending. I ordered the same size (US XLL) as I have in Sponeed padded bike shorts. The tights fit about the same. I am 6’ tall but only have a 30” inseam, so the tights are a bit long. Zippers at ankles work well. Fit is pretty good as I have large legs. There is a seam at about the knee that felt strange at first but no big deal when riding. As commented by other purchasers, the padding is a little large. I rode 12 miles first time I wore the tights. Front portion of the pad was more noticeable than the one in the shorts version. Did not cause chafing but felt like it could on a longer ride. Overall the quality is good and a bargain at $39. The colors are nice (black & white) and not too gaudy. Can see myself using these for quite a while. I ordered another pair of Sponeed padded bicycle shorts. Overall fit is good, not super tight, not thick and just work well.

I'm 5"11" and 210lbs. waist 35. I got these in XL and they fit well. They are a little bit of a struggle to get them pulled up over my legs, and butt, and taking them off, they have to be peeled off, but that is the way they are supposed to fit. If anything they are just a bit long, but its no big deal, nor is it noticeable. I haven't wore them in cooler weather yet, which is what I bought them for, but I can tell they will be just fine for riding in colder weather. Time will tell how these hold up to wear. I had bought a pair of padded shorts and spent $70. These are a great deal for half that.

Looks great, padding provides excellent comfort. My only complaint is that they don’t fit as hoped. I’m 6’ 2” and about 180 pounds. I went with the xxl which is perfect in length but the crotch is fairly loose. I would’ve went with an xl but don’t want any shorter length.

I'm 6'4", about 220 lbs, and very athletic. I had bought another pair by a different company which were too short, and uncomfortable in the seat (returned). For whatever reason, I decided to give these guys a try. First the "Long" sizes have plenty of length for me. Another concern was the lack of a draw string at the waist. However, the elastic band is very strong, and the pants stay up, no problem, even for my spin classes. I actually, bought a second pair! Correction, just bought my 3rd pair. Love them!

These are a nice cycling pant that I wanted to get in a dozen wears before reviewing. They are holding up nicely, for the most part. A few things to point out. I am 187cm with an 80cm inseam. The size I ordered USXXL fits my largeness a little snug, but that is OK. The legs are a touch long, though. I am not sure if that is by design or what. This otherwise does not affect the fit. The zipper is hopeless. It does not fasten or stay fastened, and the leg opening is flaring. In future, I would do away with the leg opening and use sturdier material to hug the ankle. Failing that, then maybe some kind of micro velcro would be in order. The padding is holding up nicely. No chaffing and no numb bum.
